I didn't buy a lot of handguns in 2021... mostly just a few revolvers. One of them was easily my favorite handgun purchase of the year.
My daughter mentioned that she would probably be wanting to have one of my 38/357 service revolvers in the fairly near future. That was good. Then she mentioned a couple of my favorite handguns, and I became a sad dad, instead of a glad dad.
I kept my eyes open and eventually found a pretty good deal on this nice clean LE turn-in S&W Model 64 in 38 special. The trigger is extremely good. My daughter is a tall, strong young lady with large strong hands, so I put a pair of wooden target grips on it for her.
She likes the trigger and grips a lot. She shoots it well and comfortably. I'll be sure to give it a little exercise every now and then until she claims it.
It's the nicest handgun I bought all year, and it also has a sort of sentimental value... or maybe a pre-sentimental value?
What's your favorite handgun that you got in 2021, and why?
If there's no picture, it didn't happen.
