With mine I have tried to cover all the bases.I have guns for HD, CCW, hunting, and target in calibers I feel to be apropriate. I recently became interested in Lever Actions. I was suprised At all the diferent models and subtle changes made over the years. I'm sure i will be aquiring more of them.
What do you collect and why?

I have an "all guns that go bang" collection.
But seriously, most are military WWII and Cold War rifles along with a smattering of modern civilian.

I cover the bases too. A portion revolve around a theme, the rest are just a pile of firearms that I shoot from time to time.

I have a black powder 50 cal, a couple of shotguns, and a decent carry collection. What I am the most proud of is my rifle hunting selection. I have tried to get the correct caliber to kill everything on the planet effectively. The only calibers that have mutiples of is 22lr and .223. I'm pretty coverd with everything from 22lr to 300RUM.

started out w/ mil surps. had every rifle used by every country in wwI and wwII except us and germany cuz of prices. then went to handguns used by armed forces which went to pocket pistols which went to old revolvers which went to...you get the idea.

I call my collection 'The John Wayne Arsenal of Freedom' and basically it encompasses everything that goes boom, that interests me at the moment, when I have cash in my pocket...

Most of my collection is what oppertunity brings==My theme collection is ==IF it looks bad ,And they want to ban it --I want it !!!

Yes, these are my puchase themes: Hunting, SD, HD, CCW, Tactical, nastalgia, CAS toys, Plinking, SHTF, Target, cheap acquisitions, collectables, Felt good, looked good, finally found something I looked for years earlier & forgot I had to have, trade up, trade sideways, stupid trade down, had parts for it, had ammo for it, knew I needed it when I saw it-----what else.............

Deadin, you want to adopt me?

My own collection is pretty diverse, seems like whatever strikes me.

I do show an affinity for S&W revolvers, WWII / Cold War US and Russian items (screw the germans, I don't like their guns, their cars, or their beer for that matter).

I'm usually in for anything russian, or anything really odd.

I have a little bit of everything. Battle rifles, lever actions, etc. Biggest theme for me is 1911's. Currently have 12 of them.

Mine is fairly small and new, but in my life (I'm only 23) I hope to have a nice classic Winchester collection. Rifles and shotguns ranging from the '66 to whatever I want. Right now my collection is:

Model 94 .30-30 manufacture date 1951
Model 12 12 ga manufacture date 1941
Model 97 12 ga trench gun manufacture 1904

My next goal is an 1886 in .45-70

As others have said, I've covered the basics. Beyond that there are some
unusual things that have struck me. I have all but one (as far as I know) of
Springfield’s .45 Super offerings. .45 Super 5", V-12 .45 Super, 2 V-16s with
both springs (.45 ACP/.45 Super). The only one I need is the V-16 stamped
.45 Super (just need some extra money to get it).

Beyond that I have a pension for long-slides. As noted the V-16s and I have
a 10mm Omega. I'll probably grab a standard Springfield .45 Long-slide and I'd
love and IAI 10mm Javelina Hunter.

I have a .44 Mateba and would like to get a .357 8" without the port as well as
their rifle and the model 6.

All military/law enforcement/government type arms.

Ultimately, they are the only ones that really matter in regards to Amendment II to the U.S. Constitution.
