I am one of those a pound of powder gets me through the year shooters. However, I have not been able to find pistol powder for over a year.
I wish it would get better. I have seen rifle powder on the shelves, but no pistol powder.
I got 10 lbs of Unique in the mail this week. After shipping and hazmat it worked out to 23 bucks per pound. After taking inventory of how much I already had on hand, I passed half of it onto others in need.
I have a small LGS within half an hour from my home off the beaten path, not much trouble finding most of what I need at reasonable prices, no online sales so that helps.
Still seeing some idiots on GB trying to rape a few people asking $35+/lb. Anyone that would pay those prices is part of the problem.
I see nothing to rule out the theory that handgun powders, especially Universal and others that ammo companies favor, are all allocated to government agency (not Pentagon) orders.
