Your Thoughts on Pistol Powder Availability

Incorrect, powders are coming in all the time; if you are expecting powder to be $12/lb and .22 for $8/brick, keep dreaming
new prices, new normal

I wish...

I am one of those a pound of powder gets me through the year shooters. However, I have not been able to find pistol powder for over a year.
I wish it would get better. I have seen rifle powder on the shelves, but no pistol powder.

The Doc is out now.

I got 10 lbs of Unique in the mail this week. After shipping and hazmat it worked out to 23 bucks per pound. After taking inventory of how much I already had on hand, I passed half of it onto others in need.

I have a small LGS within half an hour from my home off the beaten path, not much trouble finding most of what I need at reasonable prices, no online sales so that helps.

Still seeing some idiots on GB trying to rape a few people asking $35+/lb. Anyone that would pay those prices is part of the problem.

CPE, that's the mighty neighborly of you! :)

strat1962, they can ask that because there evidently is enough people willing to pay that much. Just as it was with sky high prices on the ARs.

BTW, welcome to THR strat1962! :)

I see nothing to rule out the theory that handgun powders, especially Universal and others that ammo companies favor, are all allocated to government agency (not Pentagon) orders.

This ^^ is a perfect example of the "Proving Non-Existence" fallacy.

And a list of most the other ones you see all over the net.

It's too bad they don't teach this stuff anywhere outside of philosophy 101 anymore.
