folding Glock?!

It’s pretty much admitted to in the article that it would need to be concealed in a cargo pocket or a purse or a larger coat pocket and not say, a front pocket.

If that’s the case, you can conceal many different sizes and styles of handguns in purses and cargo pockets.

I had a girlfriend years ago who was a sheriffs deputy. She only had here issued duty gun and she carried it everywhere off duty in her smallish (for the average woman) purse. The gun was a Glock 21.

My sister carries a Sig 228 in her purse.

I guess the 43 version can put in a back pocket which could be convenient.

I’m not bashing this idea at all I’m just not 100% behind it.

I am all for the fact it is very safe while folded and does not need a holster.

Seen it. . . folding guns are an interesting sub-genre, but generally not practical; this is no exception. There's practically nowhere a woolybooger can't get into when the gun's folded, because its guts are hanging out exposed. It also fails to reduce footprint significantly.

Basically, no grip protrusion, so it will look like a smart phone if it prints. At least, in theory. Practically, I see it as more con than pro.

The idea of a Glock or similar gun being carried for any type of defensive use that isn't ready and capable of being drawn and fired immediately with one hand if required doesn't pass the common sense test for me. The only application I could see for such a gimmick is some type of covert James Bond type use where it is stored in an unconventional location for later use. Like the wheel gun hidden behind the toilet in The Godfather.

I remember when these were first showcased, last year some time. I just can't think of a situation where it would be a benefit over just carrying a regular old gun. Maybe if you have to dress formally and can only conceal a very small pocket gun. perhaps this could be folded up in a briefcase? I dunno..........

Guns are cool. Folding guns are cool. Practical? Not to me. For that weight bulk, cost and complexity why not slip two pocket pistols in your pocket in a holster that holds them both? Pretty easy to make two not look like a gun..... Of course either option increases my already critical need for suspenders. Concealed carry without buttocks is problematical.

I always felt that way about takedown rifles-
"Excuse me a moment, Mr. Angry Mountain Lion, while I assemble my '94 Winchester."

Yes, the folding Glock is likely to appeal to those who also prefer to carry their EDC with an empty chamber which, like this design, presumes that one will have a hand free to bring it to a condition of readiness.

Demolition Rance featured that gun about a month ago:

It seems like a good villain gun. You know like when the villain does all these elaborate things to kill somebody even though most of them don't seem necessary and there's really no explanation for them. Like when Charles Bronson rigged the gas line in the kitchen stove and then replaced the tea bags in the cupboard with ones of the same brand laced with a sedative, and then put a small explosive in a book on the shelf, so when the guy in witness protection came home to the safehouse and made tea he would trigger the stove to leak gas, but not before he had fallen asleep. Then when the apartment was full of gas, Bronson would shoot the book from his hotel room across the street and the whole apartment would blow up. That was awesome, but I don't know why any of it was necessary. That's how this gun is. He could have just shot the guy, or poisoned him, or blew him up, but he did all three.

I’d pass on the Full Conceal as I conceal a Glock 19 or Glock 27 without issues.

I do have a CAA Gear Micro Roni Stabilizer with a Glock 19 and a IMI Kidon Pistol Conversion with a Glock 17 .

When seconds count, or fractions of a second could be the difference between life an death, only an engineer would make an anvil with 42 moving parts.

Be a good one to pass around a campfire once everyone knew it was clear, just not very practical.

Uh, heck, yeah...

I routinely CC (and very occasionally OC) a Glock 17. It is an interesting thing to be sure, but it does nothing to advance the design in a meaningful or valuable manner.

Full Conceal failed marketing pitches:

Now with 300% more knuckle abrasion than comparable Glock models!

Jim: Hey Steve, I noticed that your pants are drooping very badly. Are your pockets full of rocks?
Steve: Jim, I can tell you that it's NOT a handgun that is ready to fire, that's for sure!

When seconds count, bad guys will just have to wait.

To show you the power of flex tape, I sawed this Glock in half!
