Yeah, that's what killed it for me. It SHOULD be fine but for another 3 oz I can get a Weaver v10dang did not see that, i can't believe it's that bad.
it would be nice on an ar, maybe that was there intent with it.Yeah, that's what killed it for me. It SHOULD be fine but for another 3 oz I can get a Weaver v10
Could be, I only found one review and the guy was using it on an AR.it would be nice on an ar, maybe that was there intent with it.
i have seen a few burris timberlines on 527, did not read what they thought tho. the older burris ultra lights were nice, but lower power. what's the farthest shots you take when shooting targets. you can get away with less for hunting.Could be, I only found one review and the guy was using it on an AR.
I still really want to try one, but even my curiosity is balked by a nearly 300dollar Oops
I'll plink at rocks and stuff out past 500yds as long as I can hit them in a couple shots. With my 24" Grendel and 6-18x40 Mk-Ar, that actually want very hard, but that thing hurled those 123s at very close to 2700fps. My slower 20 got blown around pretty good.i have seen a few burris timberlines on 527, did not read what they thought tho. the older burris ultra lights were nice, but lower power. what's the farthest shots you take when shooting targets. you can get away with less for hunting.
there is a nice little 2-10 sighthorn but it's 30mm.I'll plink at rocks and stuff out past 500yds as long as I can hit them in a couple shots. For actually trying to shoot a group on target, I'm only good to about 400-450. 7-9x is doable, 14x is min comfort, and I'll take more if I can get it.
Yeah, a little chunky at 16ozthere is a nice little 2-10 sighthorn but it's 30mm.
oh ok opticsplanet had the weight and length mixed up, i don't now how i did not see them say the scope is 16'' lol.Yeah, a little chunky at 16oz
Yeah 16" might be a little long.oh ok opticsplanet had the weight and length mixed up, i don't now how i did not see them say the scope is 16'' lol.
nice, i like that scope. would not mind one for my self. the cz's are balanced nice i don't think you will fell the extra oz or 2. plus great power for the length. don't loose that women lol.So my decisions been made for me.
I had the Timberline, and leupold vx-3i in my Amazon cart last night when my wife wanted to buy beads. She ordered the timberline for me since it was cheaper than the leupy. Just called me from work to tell me not to double order lol.
Not that I'm complaining, this is the second time she offered/bought me something in the last year, pretty spiffy!
I'm hoping I like it, seems like a good fit for what I want.nice, i like that scope. would not mind one for my self. the cz's are balanced nice i don't think you will fell the extra oz or 2. plus great power for the length. don't loose that women lol.
I was perusing the vx-rs last night, and they did seem like they would be a good match.
the burris is now discontinued, get one when you can.Ha, that is funny. I have been watching this thread with interest because I have a 527 M1 American on the way and want to put a light 12x on it. Looking at the Leupold Freedom, Vortex Diamondback, and Burris Timberline. Going to to try to out my hands on each of those locally before I pick.
Don't have much to add, but greatly appreciate the info dump in this thread. I am going to have to resist the urge to go too far down the weight shaving rabbit hole.

If I'd had an x39 carbine, something like that or a straight 4 would likely be what it wore.Leupold ultra light 2.5x20
Best of luck on both counts!Informative thread; thanks. I need to get my hands on one of the SWFA ultralights. It sounds like a dandy scope, but I'd like to check the eye relief myself.
And I'll have to try leaving a nice scope in my Amazon shopping cart (which I share with my wife) to see if it magically appears!
