I simply quote Sigmund Freud: "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity."
I think all chapters in California should be considered foreign.
Funny, this thread would kind of suggest otherwise...I don't believe the latter is reflective of a good number (perhaps even the majority) of THR members.
Too late. Whether you support gay marriage or not, I think, is an issue unto itself, separate from belief that the 'gay lifestyle' is to be respected. The gay marriage issue has many facets to it, not all of which even have anything to do with the 'gay lifestyle' at all.and will oppose any effort that seeks to "normalize" homosexuality as an accepted practice.
Funny, I didn't read that in any of the posts in this thread.Well, this is quite the lovefest we are having here. At some point, this thread migrated from one endorsing RKBA for homosexuals to one giving a big thumbs up to the gay lifestyle.
I'd like to continue owning my own stuff, know what I mean.
What I did read was positive, supportive posts from straight 2A supporters to Gay 2A supporters. And more than a few said they did not approve of the Gay lifestyle, but still support the right of self defense and the right to keep and bear arms for EVERYONE, regardless of lifestyle.
I think you're reading more into this thread than is physically here.
What I want to know is why not just be part of a mainstream gun group?
How does sex or sexual orientation tie into gun rights? The fact that I am a straight male isn't what makes me pro liberty, so why does orientation need to be flaunted while doing work on preserving your rights?
Other minority groups seem to do this also, and all it seems to me is to be a point of division rather than unity between the group and the rest of society.
Finally, it is nice, once in awhile, to be in a group of people at the range who do not think I am "flaunting" my orientation if my sweetie makes a great shot and I give her a hug or a quick smooch - same as you might do with your girlfriend. You'd be amazed at how tiresome it is to have to second guess your every move because you're in a crowd that may turn hostile if you behave the same way as any other couple would.
One here. (CPL in Michigan)How many PP actually have CCW's (CHL)?
