I for one wish to welcome our New Members who are affiliated with the Pink Pistols and those who stand with them in their individual rights to self defense and self determination to The High Road.

Welcome, folks. You have lots of friends here.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Yes, a big hearty welcome is most certainly in order. An invitation to any PP members (and all other THR members for that matter) in the Tucson area. Myself, Lennyjoe, and possibly one or two others will be meeting this coming Saturday morning to go shooting. Please PM me for details if you are interested.

Welcome to any Pink Pistols. If you are in the Akron Ohio area, please accept this as an open invitation to be my guest at a private range that I belong to. Always remember what we have in common, and use that to stick together against the Anti's. Email me if you would want to go burn a few rounds and talk any gun talk. I work crappy work hours, but the range is open until 10.

Huh? New Pink Pistols members?

Haven't they been around for a long while now? They should have been here a long time ago and paying their fair share of the membership dues. :p

Are any of the Pink Pistol chapters active. Would be nice to beat Sen Jackie Speier and her Cow Palace gun show ban bill.

Hi Frohickey;

I notice we've had a recent spate of new members joining us from the Pink Pistols website and other places since the recent posting about the General Unpleasantness in Columbus.

There are already several members of PP who have been here for some time. I meant to make them all feel welcome, new and existing.

Come on in, new friends.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Oh, heck yeah. Welcome aboard. Anyone? Anyone...Bueller?

Mike :D

If there are, welcome aboard!

Jackthelad - does your offer count for non-PP members too? My girlfriend goes to Oberlin and next time I'm up there I'd love to take her (she's been once or twice) and maybe some fence-sitter friends of hers shooting...but I don't really want to bring any of my guns on a multi-state drive. :)

I didn't realize we had any PP members here besides Nualle (who I haven't seen posting in a while).

Heck yeah, welcome to anybody who believes in gun rights!

Pink Pistols is a nearly anarchist (in the CORRECT sense of that word) organization. If you SAY you are a member, you are one. if you feel the need to be a "card carrying member" they have a graphic of a membership card on the national web site for download - print it on heavy stock, cut it out and fill it in, you have a card

I was introduced to the local group by a fellow member of a local NRA grassroots group - the OC PP chapter founder made a well received presentation at one of our meetings.

I've worked their booth at festivals, mentored a monthly shoot here in Orange County, and been available for instruction and help as needed. We've gone a little moribund for the summer, but I expect there will be more interest after the excellent national coverage the Columbus group got.

I am always astonished at the bigotry and ignorance displayed by the leftist "victocrat" groups re: guns and shooting, while I've NEVER felt or seen hostility based on gender, race, religion or ethnicity in the firearms/RKBA/shooting community. I'm sure it exists, mind you, but WE are uncomfortable about any prejudice and work to overcome it. The bliss ninnies and statists embrace and promote THEIR bigotry - it's their reason for existence.

Welcome PPers

How exactly does this work? If they join as a group does that mean they don't individually have to buy the ammo? That's not fair. Us non-PPers are not receiving equal protection under the law!!!

Welcome!

I also was not aware of this... So... Welcome to the new members and a belated welcome to the rest :D

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm in the process of organizing a Pink Pistols chapter in Louisville, KY. The hott about it is that I'm a midle-aged, white, straight guy. We plan to begin holding regular meetings in the near future - including shoots at Knob Creek. Hopefully, we can get a CCW instructor to speak somewhat regularly to answer questions in that area. I'm open to suggestions for info to distribute to the membership.

Why did I get involved? It's obvious: regardless of who you are, the 2nd Amendment is important and should be protected as the rest of the Constitution.

Any gay or straight folks in the Louisville area who would like to join should go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LouisvillePinkPistols/

We welcome any supportive member.

Love the motto - "Pick on someone your own caliber!" Very cool! Tried to get several gay officers I know of to look into it, no luck yet.

Yes, welcome.

CCRKBA BLASTS 'DOUBLE-STANDARD BIGOTRY' AGAINST PINK PISTOLS BY GAY RIGHTS GROUP

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) is condemning what it calls "double-standard bigotry" against members of the Pink Pistols, a pro-gun gay organization, by organizers of a Gay Pride event in Columbus, Ohio June 27.

Following their participation in a Gay Pride parade, members of the Central Ohio Pink Pistols chapter-who were carrying sidearms openly, as allowed by the Ohio Constitution and recently affirmed by the state Supreme Court-were confronted by a contingent from Stonewall Columbus at Bicentennial Park. The group's leader demanded that they surrender their firearms. Prior to the parade, the Pink Pistols had been warned via e-mail by Stonewall Columbus Executive Director Kate Anderson, "Should anyone bring a firearm (to) this Stonewall Columbus event, the firearm will be confiscated and not returned and the individual will be rejected from the event. I have notified all Pride Committee members and co-chairs and I will also alert all security personnel and the police."

"It is remarkable," said CCRKBA Executive Director Joe Waldron in reaction to Anderson's message, "that an organization which has fought bigotry against gays and lesbians would, itself, be so eager to practice social bigotry against members of its own community for merely exercising their constitutional right to bear arms.

"Adding to the irony," he continued, "is that Anderson earlier this year angrily suggested that Ohio residents and lawmakers who had supported the Ohio Defense of Marriage Act, 'take (their) message of hate and bigotry and get out of Ohio'. Anderson and Stonewall Columbus need to realize that discrimination against gun owners is also bigotry. How does it look when a gay rights organization tells gay and lesbian gun owners 'We don't want your kind around here?'

"Perhaps most stunning about this situation," Waldron observed, "is that the Pink Pistols promote armed self-defense against the kind of mindless brutality that manifested itself in the murder of Matthew Shepard in Wyoming. How any organization claiming to represent the rights of gay citizens could exclude the right of self-defense in that equation is astonishing. We believe Stonewall Columbus owes the Pink Pistols an apology, and a promise to practice the tolerance it preaches with such righteous indignation at all future Gay Pride events."

With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is one of the nation's premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States.
