Welcome to New Pink Pistols members.

UNFortunately, they've been around longer than the Pink Pistols. They even had the gall to picket the Pearl Harbor memorial in Hawaii. They had signs that essentially say all the soldiers and sailors who died on Dec. 7, 1941 DESERVED to die because they were sinners!!!

Whatever happened to Christian Compassion??? They seem to have lost sight of the true meaning of Christianity.

I find it hard to believe those people ever had sight of Christianity at all.

Matthew 7
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets" {Christ}

Ephesians 4
"Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." {Paul}

James 3
"9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be."

Another welcome from Washington State.

If anyone is up to it and wants to find a good place to shoot, I'd be glad to have you out at my range. PM me for more info.

Unfortunately, those who oppose gun ownership are the same ones who seem to think that the Gov't should take care of us from "womb to the tomb."

If that's the case, we should all just quit our jobs and live off the gov't. dole. Only problem with that is, if we all did that, who would pay the taxes necessary to support such a system?

"Why the rich of course." Problem with that is, if no one works, the rich get poor quick. Of course there would be other problems too, but those morons just don't see it. Ahh, to be ignorant, and liberal. No thank you!

Actually, we've been here for awhile. As I've been on TFL since the beginning and on FFF. We're here, we're card holders (you got to download the card and sign it and then laminate it), and we're gun owners.

Lonnie. If you're the same Lonnie that put out the Oregon card for concealed carry website then I'm in Oregon also. (could have my cards crossed here, on so many sites and "know" so many people from their posts).

I really do think that we need to expand our outreach to every group. Women, have a tea party or something and then go shooting. All members of any LBTG groups show that gay bashing can be stopped, all college students that are into the RKBA create a shooting group with prizes. Plaques are cheap enough.

It's a character from the cartoon South Park.
Actually, it started when SOMEONE referred to the Michigan Pink Pistols as "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Gun Group." But yeah, it is from the character on South Park. ;)

I would hope so.

There are plenty of people who speak out "against" homosexuality. Personally, I have too much to keep straight and correct in my own life to worry about anyone else.

Whether a person is gay, straight, black, white, red, brown, or whatever makes absolutely no difference in my book.

Are you an honorable person? Do you have integrity and compassion? Do you obey the law? If so, you are OK in my book. Doesn't matter what you are on the outside--it's what is on the inside that counts.

BTW, still waiting to hear from anyone in WA!!:D

Heh, Hawkeye, I know. I was teasing Al.

(Al is a friend of mine and I named his chapter that. :) )

Welcome Pink Pistols...
Your sexual preferences are your own business. Freedom is everyone's business.

You have my unconditional support, Pistols. I am for Freedom. Here in MD, I testified in favor of shall issue CCW during the last legislative session (it was defeated in committee, but we will be back next year)! Anyway, as part of my 3 minute piece, I mention how important CCW is for everyone, but I mentioned how racial, ethnic and sexual-orientation minorities, as well as the elderly, the infirm, etc. would clearly and definitely benefit from being able to defend themselves properly; so we are all on the same team. Please feel comfortable in our forum.

When I'm not working, and not dressing lightly, then I carry my .45. But every once in a while, I carry my Taurus PT-92.
In Michigan I guess that means you are coming up on a day or two at the end of the month when you can leave the parka and snow boots at home, eh?

Welcome to the fold! I ran across a lady here in the Marietta area a few months back who was in Pink Pistols. I thought it was a real hoot (in a good way), and we had a long talk about it. Strangely enough, they're having an uphill battle for support in Atlanta, which boasts one of the highest gay populations in the SE. Seems the liberal mindset is a bit too pervasive among the gay community, especially in Midtown, and there's an atmosphere of "guns=violence" or "guns=redneck."

Atlanta has a high rate of hate-motivated assaults, as well as assaults on people deemed "weak", and although gay-bashing isn't particularly widespread, violence against gays is. All the more reason to get armed, but...

Incidentally, I once spoke at a debate with the Rev. Phelps. Interesting guy. He called me a "homasekshool," which didn't have the intended insulting effect on me, and then went on to say that I was even worse because I was a "supporter of the homasekshool lifestyle." He was pretty much laughed down and ignored by both the faithful and the agnostics. Even the religious right (?) shies away from him. A gay friend of mine remarked that it was a good thing he exists, because he paints a nice, big target

Best of luck, and I hope to see more of you at the range. I'll look for the impeccably-coordinated holster-shoe combinations and Hawaian shirts

Playing with Babel Fish (on other things) made me think, does Pink Pistols have international chapters?
Some of the names would be okay: Pistolas Rosadas (Spanish, my favorite translation)
Le Pink Pistols (French, kind of lame)
ðîçîâûå ïèñòîëåòû (Russian, how much more intimidating can a name like Pink Pistols get than this?)
Rosafarbene Pistolen (See, German does have a romantic side:p )

Seriously, are there international chapters or affiliated organizations?

I have a friend who is going to start up the Atlanta Ga chapter,if anybody is interested in joining I put you in touch with him.

I count myself as proud, straight hanger-on of the Twin Cities Pink Pistols (http://www.pinkpistolstc.org/).

They had a great showing at the Minneapolis Pride festival:

I'm dropping them a note encouraging them to visit here.

(Incidentally, for their straight friends at the booth, they had t-shirts: "I'm not gay -- I just shoot like one!" Heh. )

Sylvilagus Aquaticus,
Like the Cloud9 link. More airplanes for you:

Mentions of Columbus gave me bad flashbacks about a large Gay Day/Pride parade the wife and I wandered into during a trip to Columbus, oHIo a few summers ago. The bizzare and immoral behavior and actions exhibited from the sidewalk crowd and the parade participants left a lasting impression.
As there are 'scary' Baptists, so are there 'scary' Gays.

Pick on someone your own caliber. Pretty good, like it.

A question for you PP guys.....

How do you handle the assertion that a "fascination" with firearms is some sort of a phallic acting out meant to compensate for underendowment, or however the psychobabble artists phrase it?

I think there used to be a chapter in Canada, but it's not listed anymore. As it is, based on the differences between them and the rest of the USA, I think all chapters in California should be considered foreign. ;) (Just kidding!!)
