How exactly does this work? If they join as a group does that mean they don't individually have to buy the ammo? That's not fair. Us non-PPers are not receiving equal protection under the law!!!
Buy what ammo? Is the price reasonable? Does in come in .45 ACP and 7.62x39mm?? ;)

It doesn't matter if you're pink, black, white, or whatever - if you love a good 9mm vs. .45 ACP or M16 vs. AK-47 debate, you definitely belong on The High Road.

I always love those debates. As long as they stay semi-civil. ;-)

Myself, I'm sort of torn in the debate. I have a .45 and a 9mm. Actually, I have a .45, a 9x19 and a 9x18 as well as a .357 magnum, AND an AK47 clone too.

I like the .45, but I also like the 9x19. But as of now, my carry weapon when I'm at work is my 9x18 Bulgarian Makarov. Of all my handguns, it's the easiest to hide.

When I'm not working, and not dressing lightly, then I carry my .45. But every once in a while, I carry my Taurus PT-92. I like the idea of having 16 shots before I have to reload. ;)

Another welcome from Louisville KY from a hetero who supports Gay Rights and opposes the proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage (hey, it's the political forum after all). I hope to see more posts from folks flying the pink pistol flag here at THR. Way to go Big Gay Al.

Welcome all you PP'ers! :D And especially you, Big Gay Al! Nothing like truth in advertising. :p

You don't have a boat, do ya Al? :D

"You kids like to dance?"

But I see you do have a gun group... :)

PS: Man...that Baptist Church site is some scary stuff...almost hard to believe it's for real. But it is, isn't it? Stay safe out there...

UNFortunately, they've been around longer than the Pink Pistols. They even had the gall to picket the Pearl Harbor memorial in Hawaii. They had signs that essentially say all the soldiers and sailors who died on Dec. 7, 1941 DESERVED to die because they were sinners!!!

Whatever happened to Christian Compassion??? They seem to have lost sight of the true meaning of Christianity.

In my humble opinion that is. :)

Pink Pistols here!

We are here! We are here! (Did everyone read Horton Hears a Who?)

And yes, several of us have been here for awhile, altho it may not always be apparent because oftentimes we just talk about guns, rather than mentioning being gay (or being affiliated with a GLBT group). :)

Anyway, let me say thanks so much for the enthusiastic welcome. Having been a member here for some months, I have to say that The High Road crowd has exhibited "high road" behavior all along - I know that I have felt welcome here from the get-go, so I thank you for that too.

Frohickey asked whether any of our chapters are active - from context, I think he meant politically active. I know that there is a small chapter in SF, tho I don't know if they are politically active. I am the co-founder of our Sacramento chapter, and I testifed on behalf of our group at a Senate hearing on the ammo-tax bill. (I told them that we needed lots of practice to ensure that we would be able to defend ourselves from the gay-bashers...)

In any case, if you are politically active yourself and would like to try to solicit some activity from a local chapter, you can find contact info for most of the chapters on the main PP web site - www.pinkpistols.org - use the pulldown menu to select "find a chapter."

Finally, before I sign off, let me extend an invitation to any of you High Road members who may find yourself in the Sacramento area to come out ;) and shoot with us. We shoot twice a month - PM me for details if you're interested, or e-mail [email protected].

Thanks for the welcome:)

I too have been a member for a little bit, but don't post much on this board [I'll have to work on that] I'm with the Dayton Oh Pistols and am a HUGE AR15 freak......ok and just about anything that shoots, cuts, burns or blows up freak :D

Welcome from Ohio!

I was not aware of the increase in PP membership @ THR, but this is a good thing.

I also was not aware of the tribulations in Columbus, and I live about an hour south. Interesting to see that the Stonewall group has their activist roots steeped in hatred of a minority group within their own sub-culture - seems to be hypocrisy, IMO.

I had read of the inception of the Pink Pistols a year or so ago on THR. While I am a hetrosexual married-with-kids moderate conservative, I have severay gay friends, so I easliy subscribe to the live-and-let-live philosophy.

I am especially pleased to see any organized pro-gun group evolve in these troubled times - it takes a lot guts for that alone, not to mention being from a persecuted minority to boot!!

Again, welcome to THR. This is fine group of folks here, and you all will fit in well.

Jamie

Thank you for supporting the 2nd Amendment - not that there's anything wrong with that.
Don't tell that to Stonewall-Columbus. They'll likely tell you tons of reasons why it's wrong to support the 2nd amendment.

None of their reasons are reasonable, but that's beside the point. ;)
