.41 Mag Association

Funny, Uberti makes revolvers in just about every caliber EXCEPT the .41 magnum. If they made one, I'd be a buyer. If they made in in stainless I'd buy two!
I wish Pietta made one. Ubertis these days are so expensive, and Pietta has come a long way, on top of being more true to the original..

I think they'd have to consider how many they'd sell, compared to the .357M, .44M, .44-40 and .45 Colts they offer. I'd want a Western style single-action in a caliber that was made when the guns were new, so the only ones I'd consider would be .44-40 and .45 Colt. My 1873 Cattleman is .45 Colt and it is a fine shooter, doesn't hurt your hand at all. .41M is a reloader's cartridge any more, regardless of its fan base and increasing popularity again. I have M57 and M58 when I want to make more noise.

Uberti makes an SAA clone in 44 Mag with the "army" style grip, had one for a few years - it shot well.
So transitioning to 41 shouldn't be that hard - If they made this in 41 Mag - I'd get one !

I might get to be one of the "cool kids" soon, if I'm allowed to go the cheap route.

I placed a winning bid on what looks to be a really nice Ruger NMBH.

I'll post pics when it arrives and is in hand. :p

That looks like a super nice one for the price that you paid, congrats!

Owner of Useless Firearms, and a .41MAG.

I changed your byline for you... because we here all know the .41 is The Answer for every question.

You should get your .41 Association member packet in the mail in 7 to 10 days... ;)

My byline has been corrected :p

I will be checking my mail box for my Member Packet more than I did when I was waiting for my secret decoder ring!

Thanks!!!

I picked up the .41 Mag today
This thing looks darn near brand spanking new!
I'm very pleased!

Hey, I have that gun Circa early 90s. Have shot God knows how many rounds, a few deer, a 300+ lb Feral Hog at powder burn distance. Mine doesn't look so nice but there's a lot of stories in the ring around the cylinder, holster wear and a big gouge in the rosewood. You'll love it. BTW, a real sleeper bullet is the Berry 210 originally for the forgotten. 41AE. You can throw a good crimp on them and run em on the warm side without leading.

Well said Charlie...."The answer for every question" though the big .41 makes for one really hefty pocket gun! Gotta admit though, this one has been stuffed in the right rear pocket of my jeans more than a few times. As my bride of 53 years likes to point out, "good thing you have that Hottentot butt, or your Levis'd be down around your knees and the neighbors'd ask us to leave town." With apologies for the mental images, Rod

Did you get that from Grabagun? I got notification on one like that from them a couple of weeks ago but post Christmas I'm tapped. Congratulations!

Edit: Sorry, I didn't read the 1981 vintage.

There she be, my first .41 Mag. I was holding out for an 8" barrel, but they just kept getting bid through the roof. I'll continue to keep my eyes out, but until an 8" comes along for a reasonable price I'll enjoy this 6" to its fullest. Based on the almost non-existent turn line on the cylinder I'd say this gun has been shot very little. Picked up a set of dies at the LGS today, and I have bullets and brass on the way from MBC and Starline, respectively.

I bought this 2011 era NIB NM Blackhawk with 4-5/8" barrel and chambered for the 41 REM MAG about three weeks ago. Haven't fired it yet, but have been digging out my handloads (we moved last summer and LOTS of stuff is still in boxes). Going to an indoor range this coming Friday, plan to shoot it then. I also have some Ruger walnut NM grips squirreled away, going to dig around and see if I can replace the plastic grips that came with it.

The 41 Mag Blackhawk show above is the first one I have owned that came with factory plastic grips. I kept looking at them and decided they just didn't appeal to me, so I went fishing in my stash of parts and assorted junk. Came up with an older walnut set that fit great (another vintage NM set was too tight) - I think these greatly improve the looks of my Ruger.

Agreed, much betterer. I really don't like synthetic grips on my revolvers, which is interesting because I have no problem with synthetic rifle stocks. Wheel guns require wood.
