Anyone else have an Icarus on their sig? What do you think? After carrying the p365 for a few years, I decided to pick up the x-macro and mount it with the HS 507K. I also decided, shortly before buying it, that I wanted to throw it on the Icarus xmacro ACE frame after seeing some reviews. So far, I'm not disappointed! It feels great in the hand and points exceptionally well! The thumb rest really helps mitigate the muzzle rise and the under-cut in the trigger guard combined with the high cut on the back strap gets you REALLY high on the pistol. I was worried about the thumb rest digging into my holster (i have a sticky holster... because I like it... dont judge) and therefore digging into my flesh, regardless of how I decided to carry it, but that hasnt been the case thus far. The kydex holster I have for the gun also got some modifications to fit the new frame geometry but I dont think it will be necessary. After about 200 rds in the pit, I think I like it. My initial impression shooting it left a bit to be desired as I found myself pushing a bit too hard on the thumb rest. But, after getting accustomed to it, I found myself able to spin the dueling tree without issue. My follow-up shot doesnt necessarily feel faster but it definitely feels cleaner. The frame cost much more than I should have spent but I'm glad I got it. I can definitely recommend it!

Honestly, I think it looks ugly as sin but it is exceptionally comfortable! I shoot thumbs forward so the thumb rest was much appreciated. My brother has an active grip where he uses his weak hand index finger to hold the front of the trigger guard and he seemed very pleased with himself on the 12y range shooting the spinner. Secondary bonus: I get to put the 365 on the x macro frame, giving myself another x macro!

The thumb rest interests me. The stock Sig P365 and P365XL grip modules don't have much up front to hold with your thumb. In fact, the Sig rail is less wide at the bottom so it effectively tapers making it more difficult to grip with your thumb.

I'm sure that some people will cry heresy when I suggest this, but you could probably cut back the bottom of the grip to allow it to accommodate the 12 rd magazines for a concealed carry pistol.

I see the X-Macro grip module more useful for an open carry gun.

Looking on their website, it looks like they have a frame for all of the p365s and a shorter xmacro frame for the original slide so you don't have to buy the pmm comp. I think that's a pretty cool idea

They aren't in stock very often. How did you manage to pick one up? How long did it take to get your hands on it?

@AnAppealToHeaven02 they do a run about every 6 months with a 3 month lead time and a 2 week production run. I checked about every other week until they opened pre-orders and got on the list. If I remember right, I ordered it at the beginning of Dec of '22. My first post was a day or two after getting it in the mail. I buy a lot of old gun parts so I'm used to waiting lol. It's been a year and I still like it! My ring has all but worn a hole in the anodizing of the grip in that spot but that's been the only damage after about 7k rounds through it. It's still my daily carry (and, yes, still in the sticky holster!) It'll never replace my Beretta 92S for open carry but it's smaller than a glock 19 so plenty small enough for concealed carry. Though, I'm a big dude. Only gripe I have is that I lost about 100# this past year and I can feel the gas pedal dig into my hip more if I'm not careful with my holster placement.

@Mot45acp that's a beautiful frame! I think that one looks much better than the ACE. I love the wood grips and elegant design! Don't get me wrong, I love the Icarus, but the Icarus just looks aggressive and mean. It fits and feels amazing but there's about as much ugly on it as a rolling stones group photo. There's just something about the Sharps Bros design that feels classy. It almost looks like a p210 which is just... sexy!
