If your going for three gun then a AR is the way to go. I would recomend LMT. They are not the cheapest but quality is on par with Colt for much less. Save money and buy used. Check out the trading post here or the equipment exchange on AR15.com. There will always be a few lightly used LMTs...
2TransAms I have driven by that range quite a few times. It looks pretty nice, and is about as close to me as the highland range. Is it open to the public at all or a members only type deal?
"Animal Farm"
"The Giver"
"Fahrenheit 451"
These are all good books to educate children early on as to the dangers of communism/socialism/liberalism. Interestingly enough all three were required reading for me in school. My daughters attend the same schools I went to. "The Giver" was...
It is a full stock. I don't know enough about them to know if it has been rebuilt or not, but @ $650 I willl assume it has been redone. Frankly I'm just buying it to be a range toy so the effectiveness of the caliber, and such does not matter to me. We will see what Fridays paycheck looks like...
Under the bed lurks a 6920, equiped with an Aimpoint, and Surefire. If things go bump in the night 30 rounds of 75gr Black Hills bumps back. I have a large dog, alarm, and sleep upstairs. No uglies will make it upstairs to my family in the wee hours of the morning.
(mumbles while taking cover in my nomex tent) Never much cared for Garands :uhoh: . There is just little appeal in them to me. Although the silly prices they fetch today may also be a part of that. I have my Grandfathers M1911 he carried in N.Africa and would like a rifle (er um long arm) to...
I have always had a desire to own a M1 Carbine, but always put off the purchase of one for something else. Well watching Saving Private Ryan the other night on T.V renewed my desire to own one of these little gems. A local shop has a decent looking Winchester on the rack for $650 I noticed the...
Spelling aside it is my understanding that Kahr makes them now FWIW. Its not too late to change my mind as the deposit is refundable. They also had a Rock Island Armory GI 1911 as well. Side by side though the AO appeared to be better quality. All I'm looking for is a no frills (I hate forward...
Tell me about Auto Ordinance 1911 pistols. I was looking for a Springfield Mil-Spec but being unable to find one I put down a deposit on a AO 1911A1. Are these decent pistols?
HK 416 in 6.8. There are few other rifle designs out there that match the AR in ergonomics, weight, and accuracy. The piston system would end the "s**ts where it eats" debate and 6.8 would end the poodle shooter name calling.
I have a big zippered bag that our bed spread came in. I wash my hunting clothes in plain water, and store them in that bag with leaves, sticks, and other assorted natural items. I shower in the morning before hunting, but don't use shampoo, soap, or any other smelly things. First thing I do...
I recall a thread a few months ago where the poster asked if Nuclear Weapons were allowed to be registered as DDs. The answer btw was a firm NO! In a post 9/11 world I can think of no way that a private individual would be allowed to own any form of guided missile. In fact just asking about it...
I had no idea Armalite did that  . Now theres a company I would glady do businees with. I hope they follow Barretts example and stop selling/servicing their rifles for gorvernment types in Illinois if an Illinois AWB passes. The ISP currently issue Armalites.
I have shot thousands and thousands of rounds of WWB in 9mm, 45acp, 40S&W, and .223. It is good reliable ammo, accurate, and cheap. My practice/range ammo has been, is, will forever be WWB, and American Eagle. Now I could point you in the direction of many inferior brands of plinking...
Ha......why no new M14 clones you ask
The reason nobody is building new M14 clones is simple. One only needs to buy a box of .308 to learn the answer. I cannot and nor can most people afford to plink with .308 nowdays. Hell I bought a 9mm upper just so I could afford to shoot my ARs more than...
The M16 only has one extra part over the AR15 (unless your talking about M16s with a burst setting). The internal parts are all the same size and very similar in looks. The parts that vary in a M16 vs an AR15 are the hammer, trigger, selector, disconector, and bolt carrier. The AR15 also lacks...
