I don’t know how well it would work on a modern weapon, but I once had an Iver Johnson that I replaced the front site with a shotgun bead and it worked really well.
The backstrap is covered. I think it's wearing Uncle Mike's grips and I have to say I really like those for comfort and how they fit my hand.
For right now I've relegated it to range trips because I'm just too slow with it for self defense purposes.
Thanks guy, but the main reason I'm considering lightening the trigger pull is because I'm losing the strength in my hands due to a neuropathy, coupled with carpal tunnel in my dominant hand. Building the muscles is not going to happen, slow the loss maybe, but not build. I'd noticed that the...
I've got one of the S&W model 64-6 revolvers with the bobbed hammer that were on sale from J&G Sales a few years ago and I was wondering about lightening its trigger pull. The trigger pull is very smooth but heavy, so it's not needing smoothed up, just lightened up. Anybody done that on one of...
I carry five in my six shot speed strip, because I like the gap in the middle to hook a finger through.

I did order the ATI grips and they're comfortable, but they're still just 2 finger grips. After a range trip, I think I'm going to rehome this little revolver and stick with full size weapons.M85 With ATI Grips by Shotgun Willy posted Sep 24, 2022 at 9:49 AM
I bought one a couple of years ago and out of the box it shot 5 inches left at 7 yards. I sent it back to Ruger, who put a new barrel in it and it's at least as good as I am, now. I had one stovepipe early on, but it's been flawless ever since. I wouldn't say it's a target pistol, but it's...
The Hogue grips are long enough, but my grip needs to be deeper (?) front to back, due to my hand problems.
Cruising the interwebs I see a grip made by ATI, https://www.atioutdoors.com/product/x2-small-frame-grip/ that looks interesting. Anybody heard of someone that's had these?
I injured my hand last year and afterwards I have had trouble with the small grips on my Taurus M85. It has Pachmayr Compac grips on it because the originals were too small when I got it, but now they're too small.. Does anyone make a full size grip for this little gun?
Thanks
