I have a Xdm 40 and a Glock 17. I cant tell a hill of beans difference. I guess its because I work with my hands all the time. I like the Xdm grip angle and feel better though. To each his own I guess. I do remember when ammo got tight though that I could always buy 40 when you could not find 9...
I shot 3- 270 winchester rounds in my old 30-06 Browning A bolt before figuring it out. When that last one went through my target sideways I started looking for a bent barrel! Someone put a box of 270 on the stack of 30-06 and I grabbed them. It would be a deadly short range rifle! Accuracy...
I cant tell a difference shooting the two, but my 9 is a Glock and my 40 is an Xdm Springfield. I give up 3 rounds I believe in capacity with the 40, but it holds 16+1. I think I can get out of a tight with 16.
Classic cartridge? Who gives a hoot?
Can I buy plenty easily?
Does it work for what I need?
Can I shoot it effectively?
If yes to all three it works for me!
Nothing wrong with the 9 or the 40. I have both, I shoot the 40 more.
I dont have any experience with any but the mark III, the single six, and the heritage. I really loved shooting the semi Mark III, but it was a loaner for a while. The single six was one me and my brother bought for our dad.
I bought the heritage rough rider and have been very happy with it...
I live 3/8ths of a mile off the road in 31 acres of woods. If someone snuck up and sat down in my car like that chances are he would be shot. I won't gamble with my wife and kids lives, there are two gates, and signs posted all the way down. Chances are be is up to no good. I realize everyones...
I have killed deer with all three. If I was going to battle in a short range war I would take the 223. If i were going somewhere long range I would want one of the others.
They kill quicker. No doubt about it, but you can carry twice as many 223. Most people buy them because you can get bullets...
6.5 Creedmoor or 260 Rem. If you havnt shot one give it a try. Low recoil, excellent long range, good varmint-elk cartridge, bucks the wind. I havnt shot my 308 in a year at least. The only advantage 308 has over either is availability.
I heard television is terrible these days, but I really dont know because I have a 5 and 6 year old and I work at a hospital on heating and air so I really dont know! I did see a new episode of curious george the other day, but there was no hunting!
Bought a Xdm 40 in 2009. It has shot several thousand rounds. All kinds of ammo. Never had an issue. I have a Glock 17 1987 model I bought new. The Xdm outperforms it in dependability and accuracy. It feels better in my hand. To each his own.
How about an accurate mini 14 without all the crap on the end of it. I love the mini 14 "feel" better than an AR. I like the AR but I grew up with rifles alot more like the mini. If they made a heavy barrel model that would hold its accuracy after 10 shots and use AR mags they would sell...
I dumped a SR45 for my Xdm40 and I am not saying it is better, but its better for me. I also owned a couple Glocks and ditched them also. The Xdm just feels right in my hands and I can shoot it alot more accurately. It has shot a bucketload of bullets and has never had a Hiccup. The first...
I have a Savage made Revelation 22lr that could easily get me sent to prison! I lost the front trigger guard screw several years ago without realizing it. I loaded up with 15 rounds in the tube, cocked it, and pulled the trigger. It shot eight rounds at full auto and only stopped because a case...
