I use gun oil a whole bunch when putting them away. Have been using it for years. The day before i want to go shooting i run a couple of dry patches. then i run a patch soaked in some Jack Daniels. run it through the bore.... a little Jack for my barrels a little Jack for me. Well the Jack...
I would love to do. I looked into it several times. Problem here is the local area that does it is around 70 miles away. Then they have a whole bunch of fees and memberships. That and by the time you are done buying the clothing and stuff your out almost 1000 to shoot a gun
I like my graphite spray. I have been using it for years nothing sticks to it. Found I can shoot with it all day. Even use it in the internals. When I used regular lube or grease stuff just sticks to it and builds up same with internals with graphitr you can shoot all day then go jome take apart...
Id clean it
Strip it make sure its in good working order. Clean it good. then shoot it. So instead of it now being an old decoration for a glass case. It is antique working shooter. Same time better start trying to find some OE parts or replacements.
