Alloy frame, Kimber Pro Carry II
This is one of my favorite carry guns. I've made it extra slim by replacing the extended mag release and thumb safeties with standard Colt parts and I've installed a set of davidsons slim grips. I also replaced the grips safety with an Ed Brown and the MSH...
IN a locked container. The muzzle sticking out is not IN a locked container.
You got away with it, great. However, I would not try it again. Get a locking container that completely encloses the weapon.

I actually prefer the old style solid screw over the spring loaded one. Once at a pistol match, during a fast reload, I managed to push on the cylinder hard enough to snap off the spring loaded detent on the screw and almost sent the cylinder and crane to the ground.
This happened on a...
I have a 686+ and I also have an extra cylinder for it that's the standard 6 rds (7 shot not idpa legal). So, when I carry it it's a 7 shooter. If I compete with it, it's a 6 shooter.
The cylinder, ejector and hand are the only parts that I change when going from 7 to 6.
I feel your pain. I got real excited when visiting a local shop recently. I spied a 2.5" model 19 with a price tag marked $299. It looked REALLY good in the case. But once I got my hands on it, I could see that somebody had shot the poor thing to pieces, had it re-blued and sold it off...
Between Ranier and Berry's, I'll take the Berry's. The plating is much harder. When loading hotter rounds, the ranier plating has been literally blown off the core, as seen when 1 shot fired resulted in 2 or more holes in the target. :uhoh:
45acp, 45 auto rim and 45gap will indeed work in a S&W 45acp revolver. The rim of the auto rim cartridge is very thick and I can't say if it'll wotk in other manufacturers guns but a S&W will handle them all.
I doubt a 10mm wheelgun would show any more wear and tear than a 41mag wheelgun with the same number of rounds put through it.
My bet is that you'll wear out before the gun does.

This looks like a nice gun, if it's inexpensive, I'd buy it just to try it out. http://www.hermann-weihrauch-revolver.de/english/e_HW_01/e_HW_01.htm
I have a couple ideas in regards to your neighbor.
1. Put up a pole mounted "Tornado Siren" in your yard. Every time you catch the neighbor spying, test the siren.
or
2. Get a young male donkey, that'll give her something to look at.
