They need/want to get the target with the dope. Its makes a better case in court otherwise its always someone elses dope. And the idea with the dynamic raids is to catch you when you are relaxed at home not expecting a visit. It works most of the time. I have been in places where the cops came...
Lotta new gun laws recently in Virginia. So case law is “ evolving “. I suspect i am gonna try very hard to not be the test case if i can help it. Too much depends on where in state you are as to how the police are gonna approach a situation. It should not matter but in fact it often does.
I have a pretty serious stun gun. I have offered the zomg he got tazered crowd the opportunity to use it on me with the caveat that while they zap me i will be punching them. The one guy who took me up on it hit the ground before i did.
The hand held ones are not like police tazers. Not a big...
wasn't my experience per se

5 other guys walk in and start in on the two guys. it was over country of origin feud
the 2 guys paid up tried to leave they were followed and attacked
one guy got up made it to...
Richochets can be peculiar. Know a Guy who shot at a coyote in his yard. Would've bet there was no way to richochet. But in the morning there was a hole in back glass of truck and a funny look on my face. Learned something. Glad only thing hurt was my pride.

Me too.^^^
As a young man I behaved poorly. As a result I had many encounters and that method worked for me well. Still does. I am not likely to fix what isn't broke no matter how many times I watch the law professor's infomercial for his book.

a quote from mr Gerlach
[I] wish I could live it all over again," Gerlach told Detective Ben Estes after the shooting. When Estes asked why, Gerlach replied, "20/20 is hindsight."
i can't speak to anyone elses faults
as to my own i need to be very conscious of a tendency to get "invested" in a situation and losing sight of whats really important. in my case i call it testosterone overload. and if i feel threatened it gets worse. gotten better as i got older. part age...

Is it really worth possibly getting someone killed just to catch someone for a minor traffic violation?
thats where the rub lies. till you catch em you don't know why they are really running. lots of real bad guys caught by traffic stops. and lots of near misses. ever hear of polly klass...
It happens all the time.
then it should be easy to name that dept
you know the one where running away from a bank robber who opened fire on a cop and letting him run loose is a good idea
i'll wait
is there a police dept in the world that would "run away from a guy who is shooting at them". to let the guy go out in the world? i mean in real life.
that doesn't work that well with police car chases. once the boys learn that if they floor it the cops back off they will. its the kinda...
we had a decent indoor range shut down. no rounds ever escaped but someone opened a daycare and invoked " for the children". the landlord closed the range down. (he also rented to daycare)
darn shame
