Hi all, been awhile, but im back. I have decided to sell some guns and other stuff to buy an m1a. For several years i have coveted the M1a, now I just have to have one.
First off, reviews on the m1a standard model, and the match, and the m21 model would greatly be appriciated. Also how much...
I have toyed with this idea quite a few times myself, it is very complicated and you must have a higher level of desire and dedication than I do.
But if you want to do it, more power to you and good luck, I will buy one!
Well, he didnt mention model number, But i do know it has the carry handle, shorter handguards, the standard buttstock, 16 inch barrel, standard sights, no bayonet lug, but i am pretty sure it has a flash hider.
Hope that helps
One of my good freinds has an AR-15, it is in very good condition, I am not into the Ar's since I cant afford them, but I would greatly appreciate if someone could tell me the price. I know how much he paid for it, but I want to know how much he underpaid!
Thanks
I lift weights, alot, and I run also but that is more of a personal hobby than for shooting, but I have noticed that it does afect my shooting, positively. My .308 is a 15 pound gun. Shooting off-hand is almost easy now. Carrying the rifle all day over mountains during hunting season proved no...
Yes, I polished the race ways. Using a lathe and a few chisels, alot of patience, and quite a few :cuss: I made a replica of the bolt body and lugs out of oak. I then attached 800grit aluminum oxide cloth, and then a short rod to serve as a handle, I think that after about 75 strokes everything...
Well, my .308 build is finally done, went through alot of different things, finally settled on this. Should have posted this about 4 months ago when I actually finished it.

I have never owned a 40x or even shot one. But i might suggest that you look elsewhere for a 40x, I saw a beatiful one in Cabela's for $2150, i think, Stainless steel and what looked like a mcmillian benchrest stock. Beatiful gun, I would not be ashamed to own it. Of course, i did not ask to...
hmm... should i add my homemade concoction to?
If you really want to keep it, i would get a smithy to do it, but, if you have already refininshed 3-4 gunstocks... I would suggest you go for it. But i would not, repeat, would not do this gun as your first project.
Telecaster, I have warne rings on my .308, the permanant kind, I am extremely pleased with them. There is no question in my mind that the scope wont move.
In my honest opinion, it sounds like you are going to have a extremely good build. If you do figure out how to convert to m14 mags please post pics and such, as i am working on the same thing.
My only suggestion is that if you are going to spend $170 on a stock, look around for a bit, and...
Swman, I have the same gun as cmidkiff's and it is in .22. The camera is broke or I would post some pictures for you. My favorite rim-fire so far in my life...
I really dont see what they are complaining about, all accu-triggers i have encountered, go as low as they say they will. I think that most of the problem is that they are gettin their models confused. The trigger is adjustable down to 1.5 lbs only on the police and varmit models. The accu...
