You are correct, that’s where the gate is for that part. The color is mixed into the material when the plastic is melted in the barrel prior to injection. It’s lighter in color because that’s just what happens when the gate is clipped. If you look at your black stocks, it will be the same...
Panics start because of threads like this. The more people who hear about a panic, the more a panic will happen. The market is saturated, any panic that starts is from retailers and folks looking to make money in the resale market.
I bought two two years ago when they were $320 each. Loved them, but they were to large for my hands. Ended up trading them to friends with bigger hands and they are still running flawless.
I read that Zastava ran at least 200k rounds through their test gun.
I bought two H&R P3 security models this summer. Only have one issue that affects both of them. They won't pick up the last shell in the mag tube, tried all different kinds of pumping. Only fix is to get a new, longer/stronger mag spring. Other than that, they have been great.
I'd take the grips off and include the extra cylinder. I sent in a convertible blackhawk last year and they did extra work on the spare cylinder I didn't know it needed. Ruger CS is top notch.

I grabbed one of the Fiocchi 45 for that price when I ordered 5 50rd boxes of the Fiocchi .223 for $19.99 each...
...beat up one is a cabin gun now and the SOG one is my main Mosin shooter. Both shoot great, but the one from SOG is noticeably better.
Be careful* with the wood, its the Chinese anti-rot wood. Not the tough "break down brick walls" Russian wood.
* By careful, I mean don't try and break...
All 7 of my handguns are Rugers, 3 semis and 4 wheels. Soon to add a second P95.
Rugers are too much of a great deal for me. They do everything I want and then some at a great price. They do seem to discontinue models too soon though.
I chose a P95 as my first handgun back when I turned 21. I absolutely love it, has never given me any problems and is more accurate than I am. When I first bought it and it was my only handgun, I loved the DA/SA trigger. After I bought a Security Six, I found that I really wished my P95 was DAO...
