I just saw this and am passing it on to THR hunters.

Two men have died after eating CWD infected deer. Results inconclusive at present.
I've had a Patriot for about 15 years but never hunted with it. Just for kicks I loaded a 200 grain R.E.A.L. in front of 30 gr. of 3F black powder. I fired at 22 yards from a rest and the cast REAL formed a perfect hole about 3 1/2 inches high. The recoil was moderate but I will experiment with...

This article contains an amazing video of an adult jaguar leaping and catching a caiman in South America. The caiman is as long as the jaguar.
This guy says it was all a mistake because he didn't understand the rules. DUH! 🙄

A couple of weeks ago a poster here asked for holster makers. I found a couple and liked one of his offerings. I got the holster yesterday just 9 days after ordering it. I like it. I got it from TonyU Leathergoods on ETSY.

An Alabama hunter has killed a dwarf piebald deer that weighed 88 lbs. after gutting.
When I hunted in Alabama, our club had a rule that bucks had to score 115 B&C to avoid a $250 fine. I killed a sure...
I have enough .240 mag brass to last a long time but the price of cases when available is ridiculously high. So, with nothing to do this morning. I decided to try to make my own from picked up .270 cases.
After an hour and a half I produced one case that worked ... after a fashion. The rifle...
After pulling some .223/5.56 fmj bullets from LC cartridges, I noticed the similarity of the powder to BLC2.
Is it BLC2? If not what is it and can it be used interchangeably with BLC2?
I shot a deer on Tuesday that weighed 125 lb. and had piebald feet. No other piebald features were present. Even though the deer was 2 1/2 y.o., his antlers were thin and really worn down, almost like he didn't shed them last spring. His cojones were both present.
Does the piebald or albino...
I went hunting with my 9 yo grandson with a 1909 6.5 x 54 M-S rifle with a 1x scope. A buck walked by at 155 yds. and I elevated and missed. 2nd shot also missed. Last shot spooked the deer and it ran off.
My 9 yo grandson thought I killed it and went nuts, "Poppa, my heart's beating out of my...
I spent a week hunting and doing chores at the hunt camp. However, I only saw 2 deer and didn't have a chance on either.
The game cameras showed two 2-y.o. bears at my feeder every evening and 2 black hogs at the same place every morning.
I sat the 1st night and the 2 bears showed up right on...
I'm leaving tomorrow to go to my 150 acre place and hopefully shoot a deer this next week. I still have to fertilize some winter food plots (if they have had enough rain to be up) so I'll do that during the middle of the day.
Putting up feeders is almost folly as the #!@%&! bears destroy them...
I have a good bit of surplus 5.56 ammo from the Vietnam era. Most of it is LC72.
I am pulling the bullets for turkey hunting and noticed that the powder looks very similar to BLC2.
Is it BLC2?
I use BLC2 for very accurate .22-250 loads and would like to use this rather than toss it.
Thanks...
I have a large number of .30-06 cartridges with a 54 WCC head stamp. Are these shells corrosive?
I've heard that all WWII Garand ammo was corrosive hence the repetitive rifle cleaning exercise.
I just got a 1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer which are infamous for excessive headspace. I have been reloading since the 70s but still don't know "all there is" about reloading.
I don't have Go, No Go gauges to check the headspace.
If I fire new cases and then only neck size afterwards, will this...
I finally took possession of the Mannlicher-Schoenauer yesterday. It is in much better condition than I would have wished for. The bore is pristine, the wood has very few dents, etc., the action is as smooth as butter, and it only weighs 7 lb.
It's in 6.5x54 M-S and has a "flipper" Lyman peep...
The headline is a typical ploy by newspersons and advertisers. If it got your attention then the ploy worked.
Today I played cowboy ... sort of. I have a purebred Limousin bull that is nearing the end of his productivity. I also have a small "teaser" bull that keeps the old fella' honest...
I've heard there is no such thing as overkill but I believe there is.
Saturday I was invited by a friend to kill a doe since his place had tags. I shoot a Hawken replica with 90 gr. of 3F black powder or equivalent with a saboted PT Gold 260.
A doe approached and got within 10 yards so I shot...

I had to put Nyssa down today. She was a bit over 15 years old and couldn't walk or hear any more. She had stopped eating and drinking and I knew it was time.
