Idaho jury hears horrid detail of family murders
This reads like the plot of a horror movie. Unfortunately, the family played their part like those in horror movies by leaving their door unlocked and apparently...
It seems like every time some home defense situation is discussed here, all the resident sages come out and just say: "well, you just need to go get some training."
My question is how valuable "training" really is in a home defense situation unless it is tailored specifically to your home and...
Okay, this is for all those folks who say "it never happens", and if it does happen you will never have time to respond with a firearm.
This guy is lucky. He made a serious mistake by dropping his rifle and turning his back on the cougar. But he apparently had a handgun on him as well as...
I hate to start yet another VT thread, but this article got me to wondering:

Some friends were visiting us from out of state (although they used to live in MT) and along with them was their eldest son's fiance. Well of course one of the things they like to do out at our place is shoot. Turns out the fiance had never fired a gun before in her life, but she went out back...

I'm guessing that the only reason it went to a jury is because the guys knew each other and there was no forced entry.

Does the 1911 45acp have an automatic slide hold open when empty?
In other words, does a 1911 "slidelock" or just go "click" when you run out of ammo...
This was discussed here not long ago, and the "guidelines" have been eliminated :)

thanks, TP
