    What will a 9mm, .40, .45 do to a man?

Personally I think you should wait to get your CCW if you are asking questions like that and learn some things about guns and ammo before you embark on something that will get you and some innocent bystanders hurt or killed. If I have offended you or others, oh well. But that's my opinion. By...

What to get, a 22 pistol or Eotech?

Buy the gun. Someone will eventually produce a quality copy of the EOTech at a cheaper price. Mako did it with their magnifiers. A Mako 3x magnifier is $100 compared to the EOTech of the same maginfication for $400, and it works just as well.

So You Think Ammo Got Expensive?

I don't have to worry. I can get all I want. And no, I will not sell them to make a profit. I just happen to have a good source. I can't believe they are that expensive now.

    good cops

It also depends on the state you live in. Had that been California, permit holder or not, you would have been proned out on the ground and most likely cuffed until they could verify what you said.

If you are interested in a new M6 survival rifle look here

I own an M6 Scout rifle and I love mine. And in answer to those who have inquired several times, NO you cannot shoot .22 CB, Short, Long or Long Rifle out of a .22 WMR (Winchester Magnum Rimfire) There is just enough difference that the round will flop around in the chamber. Unlike the the...

Heads up on new gun and crime related movie.

Most of the people in Hollywood are idiots when it comes to guns. I tend to ignore them.

Firing a Gun burned in a house fire

Personally I think you would be fine to shoot it. Of course dont shoot the shells that were in it during the fire.

    Calling all sub 2000 owners

Dont waste your money. Stick with the factory ones.

Kel Tec Sub 2000 4 rail forearm

Too much money. I will wait till they either come down in price or someone makes an aftermarket one. Not worth it to me.

NJ Ammo purchase and Dicks Sports

I feel sorry for people that live in states where gun laws are so restrictive. I can literally walk about 100 yards to Wally World or the sporting goods store right next door and buy what I want. As long as I have the money I can buy any kind of ammo available. No stupid "card" to show. I dont...

Just bought a .40 handgun. Need a .40 cal sub-gun, long gun... something to match.

My vote goes to the Kel Tec Sub 2000. I have one in 9mm and I love it. The Beretta Cx4 Storm is too spendy. As for the Hi Point, I will say this, they are uglier than home made sin, but they go BANG every time you pull the trigger. The price is good, and ATI makes furniture for it that really...

Kel Tec Sub 2000 9MM-Anyone have experience with these?

I have one in 9mm that uses Glock magazines and its an awesome little rifle. Its accurate and it folds up nicely. I bought mine NIB for $319 here in Boise, Idaho.

    Insurance Claims For Firearms "Losses"

I dont know anything about them. I do know my home owners insurance covers all 22 of my firearms. No extra fees. My homeowners insurance would cost the same no matter if I did or didnt have fire arms. See if your homeowners insurance covers yours. Besides, thats $49 you can spend on ammo or put...

What is range of 12 ga. No. 8 target loads against an intruder?

My favorite loads are 00 buck, #4 buck, and #4 bird shot. For most HD cases #4 bird shot will cover about all your needs. Lately however I have become a big fan of BB lead shot out of my 18" Remington 870. Its bigger shot size travels a little bit farther and hits a little harder than #4 bird...

    Ultrasonic Cleaners: which one?

Personally I am a little scared to use anything like that on any of my guns. I just stick with good old fashioned elbow grease to clean my guns. Besides, I kinda enjoy watching tv, drinking a cup of coffee while cleaning my guns.

    1st gun

When I was about 11 or 12 my uncle gave me a Stevens single shot bolt action .22 rifle that was my constant companion on all my outings as a youth in the hills of West Virginia. It was the kind that you had to open the bolt, put the round in the chamber, close the bolt, pull back the knob on the...

The British on the 5.56 caliber

I have used the 5.56 on the AR15/M16/M4 platform for 25 years now and the only fault I find in it is that I still don't get to shoot it enough! A frangible, hollow point or soft point bullet would work better on human flesh than the current 62 grain FMJ NATO round (the old round was only 55...

Do you let others handle, or shoot your firearms?

Only if I am there. The only exception to that rule are my fellow deputies and/or a couple of really close friends who are also firearms enthusiasts and know what they are doing. I have let them borrow a gun to take out shooting so they could decide whether they wanted to buy it or one just like...

KBI (Charles Daly) going out of business

I own a CD semi auto 12 gauge and have had nothing but good things to say about it. I have heard horror stories from others about their CD products, but not me. I have put numerous rounds through mine with out any malfunction of any kind. I will be sad to see them go.
