I finally got out to shoot an 03A3 that I bought last year. Metal and wood look very nice on this rifle, but after shooting it at 50 yds it is consistently shooting 5"-6" high. The grouping is good and repeatable. I checked the front sight blade nd found the letter "C" on it. After some inquiries I was told that 03 sight blades came in different heights with "A" being the tallest
My question:Do you guys think 5"-6" high @ 50 yds would merit a "B" sight (taller) or an "A" sight (tallest)?
Anyone have experience with this?

6" high at 50 yards equates to a 500 yard zero.

Get the tallest blade you can get, and file off what you don't need to zero it at 200 yards on the 200 yard rear sight setting.

I changed my front sight to a taller and slightly wider USMC type.
This is on my Smith Corona 1903A3

I use a 6 o'clock hold at 100 yards and it seems to work. I never tried it at 50 yards.
