A Textron-Bell Long Ranger (7 passenger twin engine) Hilo with a door mounted Dillon Aero-Mini Gun which will be parked at out 250 acre compound somewhere.
250 Acres is only .39 square miles. You might want a bit more room than that to fly your Jet Ranger around, and certainly more than that to fire your Dillon.

So many options you can buy with that amount of money. I would start with buying Select-Fire Weapons, SBR's, and Suppressors first. M4A1's, AK47's, SCAR16/17, Glock18,etc. Suppressors all around

Then a Barrett M107 and a ton of ammo/mags for all of the firearms

1000+ acres and a bulldozer for starters......for hunting and range use.

I think its funny seeing people wanting to invest it. Theres a good way to turn a large fortune into a small fortune.
The scale is hard to grasp. With 1.5 billion you could spend $100,000 a day for the rest of your life. The fact remains though that most lottery winners end up bankrupt. The bigger the bowl , the more you eat.

1. God
2. Family
3. Charities
4. Land
5. Guns (10 or so guns to become extremely proficient with rather than 100 that I am bad with)

First gun though would either be to fully customize my FN SPR or build a rifle with an ARC Mausingfield action.
1. .308 bolt rifle
2. Glock 17 or 1911
3. AR-15 (5.56 NATO)
4. Mossberg 590A1 SPX
5. .22 Trainer
6. AR-10 (DPMS pattern) or M1A
7. Ruger 10/22
8. O/U with ejectors
9. ??
10. ??

Not sure about 9 and 10, maybe an M1 Grand, TC Encore Handgun, or some other "fun gun".

Wait as long as possible to claim.

Claim under trust/LLC to hide behind.

Set up charities I believe in/make that my job.

Donate money over the course of my life.

Tuition/living expenses paid for every family member who'd like to enroll in college regardless of age.

Don't get me wrong i'd spend plenty as well.
Property and 2 "regular" houses in north/south cities. Denver/North Carolina sounds nice.

Learn to fly/buy Cessna.

RV + hire driver

Personal trainer/Mealplanner/Chef

Housekeeping service(screw cleaning)

Can't really think of gun's I'd want that I can't afford now but i'd buy more.

Ironically I'd still reload ammo because I love doing it.

I'd probably settle on 100m or less for myself.

IMO very few if any people should possess over a billion dollars but i'm glad to be in a country where you can.

Put better retreads on my ole 89 Ford F150 4X4, maybe an auto tran. to replace the 4 speed stick, get the a/c fixed... or maybe trade it in for a newer say 99 or 2000 model if I think I can afford it. Spend any change left over on guns and reloading supply's.
Nice to dream.

1.5 billion and don't have to split it with anyone?
The first thing I do is move to a "free" state, buy 100 acres, and then buy a *real* BAR a couple of Tommy guns, and an M2 carbine. A couple of silencers, too.

The second thing I would do, is open a micro-distillery.

100 acres. Think big man. Ive had friends who lived on 40K acre and 80K acre ranches. If I had that kind of money it would be a cool 100K acre spread I'd be on.

1st 50 body guards . to keep all the freeloaders at bay . Then up grade my 110year old house with a furnace and central air. At almost 70 cutting moving trees and making fire wood getting harder every year. I like to have new car mine is 20 yrs old . many other things my children need to make their adult life better. .

I would move, you sort of have to. Just about all the big winners had to move, to get away from the thousands of nuts that come out of the woodwork. So even though I like my 2,500 sq ft house, maybe a 10,000 sq ft one, with room for an indoor range, and other toys like a machine shop.
Then some cars, I always was a car guy, I had a Gto, several porshes and a Ferrari, when I built my first business from nothing. But spent it on medical bills when I blew out my back at an early age, and couldn't work.
Then I would buy every gun I always wanted but didn't have the money to buy. I mean about 200 that I could list easily. Between that and my dogs I would be happy and busy. And buy my wife whatever she wanted to keep her off my back, so I could play all day.
Also security, and a driver for the wife, so I didn't have to waste time driving her around for he shopping tours, A driver and a cook, are essential when you have unlimited money, as someone is always coming in to visit and unless you want to spend your day preparing meals, and driving folks around, you can afford it.

John Kerry bought five prisoners from Iran for $1.7 billion just a couple of weeks ago.
