Hey Guys and ladies

I will be getting a large refund from the Guberment and I have alotted myself $2000 to $2500 to spend on my firearm addiction currently looking at:

1) FAL or an M1A
2) Auto-ordanance M-1 carbine
3) Mech-Tech Carbine for my 1911

This is my working A-list......everynight I go to sleep this list gets a little fuzzy.

If you had this alotment of funds how would you spend it ? The idea is to get 3 rifles one being a battle rifle..... second being a smaller carbine .....and third being a pistol caliber type.

I am looking forward to your input.

Me? I'd set some aside for training and buy one or two of the three on the A-list. When I'd taken that one through a formal school & knew it was up and running reliably with all the doodads I wanted, and that I knew how to work it quickly & well, then I'd buy the next on the list.

If I had $2000 or $2500 allotted I would go with the following choices:

1) DSA STG58 - $800 and DSA STG58C - $900. With upgraded handguards, mags, ammo and mounts and the transfer fee we'd be looking still under $2500.

2) DSA STG58 - $800 and PTR-91 - $800. Upgraded handguards, mounts, mags, ammo, mabye enough for a IOR scope.

Best wishes shopping

Buy all three and then spend your entire vacation budget for the next three years on training.

I love spending other people's money.

Spend $2,000 on the training course of your choice at Gunsite (it won't cost that much in tuition, but you'll have to provide transport, accommodation, ammo, etc.). You'll get far more than your money's worth. If you have money left over, then you can buy yourself a new toy.

$2,500? Given that kind of cash, here's what I'd get for me personally (in order):

Battle Rifles:
-M1A Scout Squad
-JLD PTR-91KT
-CMP Garand(s)
-DSA SA58 FAL with TAPCO M249 SAW furniture, Picatinny receiver cover
-Ohio Ordnance Works BAR 1918A3 (well... a down-payment anyway) :)

Carbines:
-Vector Arms V-53 carbine
-AR-15 16" flattop with fixed stock
-Kahr (or original GI) M1 Carbine with M1A1 paratrooper stock
-Kel-Tec SU-16D
-Krebs Custom AK

Pistol-Caliber Carbines:
-Kahr Thompson M1
-Vector Arms Uzi
-SOG S&W 76
-Kel-Tec Sub2000, Beretta format

Accessories/Misc:
-Ammo (LOTS)
-A decent range bag
-Hard cases for all my guns
-A safe
-IOR Bucuresti scopes (an assortment of 'em)
-Trijicon ACOGs (assortment)
-Camping gear
-A somewhat decent (video, maybe?) camera ;)
-New computer
-New stereo
-New TV
-A "new" (different) car
-Repairs made on the car I currently have
-Some land out in the middle of nowhere
-A nice trip to someplace far away... like Ireland or New Mexico
-The ability to pay off all my bills (rent, groceries, electricity, etc.) for the next three months

... but that's just me. ;) :)

"Spend $2,000 on the training course of your choice at Gunsite "

That's his vacation budget and he's still got his tax refund left to buy guns. Ain't life wonderful?

Word is that was a misunderstanding and they're not.

But they are doing the P90 and 2000.

Hmmm....

P90 + SBR paperwork + barrel cutdown? That oughta be under $2500

well

i have the fal, never wanted a m1 carb. and after looking long and hard at the mech tech i decided to go with the beretta cx storm instead. like it so far.
so if it was me i'd soend iton an ed brown 1911. but the training idea also sounds very good.

HK93, plain and simple; could I perhaps persuade you?
