I'm more accurate with single action type grips vs say modern autos. Once you get used to it i'll bet your single actions might multiply!

Are you still using HP-38? I found a good load with a 100 LRN. Data would be somewhat similar, I'll see if I can dig it up. That range sounds right though. Seems like I was around 3 grains or right under it maybe 2.8, it shot well.

Editing to add: I just searched through an old thread and found that I was loading 3.2 grains of HP38 with this 100 grainer in 32 H&R a few years back. So my load for the FM would have been a decent bit higher.

Copy on the 3.2, I am going to see how it does with the recommended 2.5-3.0 and then see if I need to push higher. Otherwise, I know it likes it in the 32 S&W Long brass for sure...
much appreciated on looking it up. Thank you
Still more accurate one handed with the single action compared to trying to fire it two handed. I'm the same way with 1911s as well. Better for slow fire at 50' and beyond, going back to bullseye stance and single hand.

That range seems low but makes a lot of sense, hollow base data.

Notes mentioned earlier as follows... These are notes, not published data or necessarily recommended. Just what worked for me.

327 FM using the mbc #6 100 grain LRN and HP38

The best functioning range was marked about 4.0 to 5.2 grains. I have a note that 4.7 was "stand out" accurate. I got pretty similar results on another batch I found (loaded about 2 years earlier) using 4.5 and a magnum SPP (CCI). I shot at least 600-700 of that load it looks like.

Keep in mind this is a different bullet than you are using. Weight difference is negligible, but its a different type. I think you have a good plan, start low. The data you're looking at seems maybe too low to me. If I were using that wadcutter I would start at 3.5 maybe and go from there. Things will really start to shape up once you get a little past low 4's to 4.5 grains I bet.

copy...I'm actually switching my testing to my GP100 as it feels more substantial to me than the Single Seven. Yes my 327 collection swelled to 3 different rugers- LCR, GP100, and Single Seven in 327.
Local guy today wanted a screaming deal, so I bought it.
I figure it's DA/SA so keeping with my new to SA Revolver shooting, it will eliminate another form of error- namely me.
I will keep working up the charge weights and see how they look. Much appreciate the knowledge. Thank you

did 4 loads today- 3.5-3.7-3.9-4.1
3.9 shot the best as 4.1 fell apart- 3.5 and 3.7 were wider group wise than 3.9. 4.1 just fell apart..no pressure signs on anything - still a fairly mild load it felt like as well.
all 50' range braced on my backpack- forgot it was PPC night at the club, so had to fire and get out before the matches started.

Those GP100s are good looking.

3.9 may be it. You'll find dead spots in load development sometimes, it could tighten back up past 4.1 if you keep going up ladder style as you are now.

Doesn't look like much crimp on these but it could be the picture. A light crimp can help, you have a little lead shaving too but it's not bad. You may try adding a bit more flare and crimp on the same load to see if it changes anything. It's nice to find a fairly accurate load on the first 20 rounds!

Definitely can do...I'll put a bit more flare into the brass as well as a bit more crimp. It's minimal crimp currently.
Probably do the 3.7 - 3.9 - 4.1 - 4.3 ladder tomorrow with 5 rounds each
