350 legend or 300 blk out for up to 100 yard deer hunting in brushy areas out of an ar platform? I do not own a suppressor so subsonic capability is not really a concern.
350 Legend without a second thought. I live in a state that doesn't require straightwall and I still use mine. It's been very effective and easily "hunting" accurate. My rifle like the 170SP Hornady with Lil Gun powder.
I gotta disagree with the "if you can't get it done with the 300BLK you can't get it done with the 350L. To me at any range the 350L is effective at I'd never choose the 300BLK over it. A .35 cal 150-180gr bullet at the same speed as a .30cal 125 or even a lighter 110 all copper at the same speed. I'll take the bigger diameter heavier bullet everytime.Flip a coin. 350L will have more horsepower, but really, if you can't get it done with a 300BLK, you're not getting it done with a 350L either. 30cal offers more versatility and broader options for bullet choice, but sacrifices some power. 350L offers more horsepower, but is more limited on availability and variety of components.
have you actually looked at everything available for 350L? except for a couple of fmj plinking offerings everything from a 140 gr monolithic up to some 200 grain hardcast a designed for it as hunting rounds, none below 1600 ftlbs of muzzle energy and a few tapping on 2000 ftlbs door, in copper monolithic, ballistic tips,, interlocks, partitions , hollow points, JSP...etc the 300BLK has a much narrower list of bullets that it can get up to expansion speed in 30 caliber bullets, the 300BLK doesn't even belong in the same conversation of hunting ability as the 350LFlip a coin. 350L will have more horsepower, but really, if you can't get it done with a 300BLK, you're not getting it done with a 350L either. 30cal offers more versatility and broader options for bullet choice, but sacrifices some power. 350L offers more horsepower, but is more limited on availability and variety of components.

There are probably well over 100 different bullets that will get to expansion velocity just fine in a 16” 300 blackout.
the blackout wasn’t designed as a hunting cartridge

Read posts #18 and #19...you'll hopefully get an understanding of what I meant.I’m at a loss as to what you could possibly be referencing. This thread has been remarkably close to topic for the OP’s question.
Maybe you didn’t read the thread before you posted?
