9mm pocket pistol

I like Ruger GP100 - I have one for over two years. It`s reliable gun, I feel myself in safety with it.

Not in a pocket though right? OP is asking about pocket pistol. I agree GP100 is a great revolver but even a bobbed 3" is ~38oz. Far too heavy and large for pocket carry.
I find 20oz to be about as much as I want to carry in a pants pocket and 13-15oz is even better.

I have been going through the same hunt for a 9mm pocket pistol. I settled on the Kahr CM9 and ordered one from Cabelas last night for $299, currently on sale. Seems like a great deal! It should be delivered to my local Cabelas in 5-8 days.

I found this chart very useful in comparing different pocket pistols:
http://www.mouseguns.com/PocketAutoComparison.pdf

I was a little confused by this chart. It lists the CM9 as 1.08" wide. Kahr lists the CM9's slide as .9" thick. Evidently the CM9 is 1.08" thick at its thickest point which is the slide release. The weights in the chart also differ from manufacture listed weights as the chart shows the weight of the gun with an empty magazine. Most manufactures list weights without a magazine.

For pocket carry, LCP, I have the LC9S and it is my daily OWB carry, if I need to put one in a pocket, it is the LCP - I call it my church gun.

I also have the P238, and it is a great little pistol, but heavier than the LCP, and because it is the "army" version, the bigger grip makes it more obvious in a pocket. But it is a sweet shooter, and my wife has the rosewood grips and hers is more pocketable.

The LCP disappears in my jeans pocket with a sticky holster, I did add a hogue handall grip, steel guide rod and a heavier spring in my LCP which helped with the snappy recoil in this light little pistol. Also the ARX 56 grain ammo cycles through it fine and also helps with reducing recoil. With 6 rounds and a bit of practice you can do 2 in the chest and 1 in the head twice without issue.

YMMV

Pocket carry:
Glock G42 - .380
Sig P238 - .380 (SA with safety) you have to be willing to carry cocked and locked
Kahr PM9 \ CM9 - 9mm (long but light trigger pull) my personal favorite
Glock G43 - 9mm but depends on the pants as this size pushes it to the max.

While I can manage the long trigger of the PM9 \ CM9 I have had difficulty in the larger sized models (i.e. K9, CW9). I guess the size of the grip in relationship to my hands causes me to pull the gun downward. This doesn't happen with the smaller CM9.

I'm a short stocky build so if I can occasionally pocket carry a G43 almost anyone can. Although I'm not into the skinny jeans thing. Yes it is quite obvious something is in your pocket but the holster makes it look like a bulge and disguises the silhouette of the pistol.

Shield is my 9mm carry. Not a 9mm, but my choice, after several tested, is the Sig P238.

If you like exotic, take a look at the Boberg (now Bond Arms Bullpup). Mine disappears in a pocket, but sure draws a crowd at the range.

This is the only 9mm I've found other than the Rohrbaugh that will fit all the way down into my jeans pocket. All the others leave part of the grip sticking out. I don't often pocket carry, but when I do it's the Bullpup.
