A win in Idaho today

Today in Idaho we finalized the last piece in our constitutional carry laws: Extending CC to non-residents.
Alright!:D I was talking about that with our oldest grandson when he was home just a couple of weeks ago. He's a Nevada resident now because he graduated from ISU last year and moved to Nevada for employment. He was talking about getting his Nevada concealed carry license, which would have reciprocity with Idaho for when he comes home for a visit. I'll be only be too happy to tell him to go ahead and get his Nevada license, but he won't need it here.:)

We in FL have had a problem with several states for years. We have a constitutional state statute that is a reciprocity statute, in real general terms it states, what you do to our citizens, we do to yours, automatically. We did not require shooting to qualify for a CWP, now FL does so, which has eliminated most objections to our CWP. Sounds like, effective 7-1, we will be brothers in arms at least in the concealed carry of a firearm and state reciprocity. Coming closer to a US concealed carry with every state that endorses reciprocity.

Meanwhile across the border in Washington, our governor and Attorney General are constantly looking for new ways to restrict freedoms and turn law-abiding honorable gun owners into criminals.

Sorry to hear that, Washington state has been through a lot lately, only the whole gun thing is being imposed on the rest of the state by the urban areas.

Congrats to the people of Idaho from the once dark red Democratic Republic of Washington.

Footnote: Perhaps with proper education the generations to follow will help us turn Washington and Oregon into states again.
