I like W296/H110 alot. Agreed, it has some limitations but if you work within it’s listed capabilities it is great
I use the powder in 357 Mag and .410 Shot shells.
I think I’ve tried it in 460 S&W Mag but I’ve slept since then and my reloading books are in the basement. I may have used Accurate 1680 as well in the 460 but look up reputable data before you indulge.
I’d use W296/H110 in 44 Mag and 41Mag if I ever want max loads.
The last 2400 I used was when it was made by Hercules. I’d get to much unburned powder in the shells. It did not cause me problem but I was worried. I’ve not tried Alliant’s iteration of 2400.
I tried one pound of IMR4227 and I could not get the velocities I got with W296.
I might need to try Accurate #9. I like other Accurate powders that I use, #2, #5, #7, 1680, and Western True Blue.
