Accurate BB/Pellet Pistol?

Don't worry about the O-rings now. You have a lot of shooting to do before that becomes an issue...if ever.
Pellets....
As you know, there are about gazillion types available. For my own shooting, I have settled on H&N Finale match as my competition pellet. They have served me well from both of my match pistols.
I also have a stock of Beeman Hollowpoints which shoot nearly as well. I started using them yesterday in a newly delivered P17 and they seem to shoot nicely from that pistol, though I did no serious testing.
Stay with one brand for now - pick one - try a variety of weights at around 7-8 grains. Try wadcutters and HPs. Try "match" pellets and "regular"pellets.
Eventually, they will all get used. The RWS pellets that you have are a fine place to start. Shoot a bunch before buying any others.
For five meter shooting, there is a BB gun target that is appropriate for pellet gun use also. NRA A-4.

Pretty much what Pete says. One just can't go wrong with RWS or H & N for that matter, all the rest of the common ones are just so so. However I have found that Crossman Destroyer & Match shoot very well in my P17, but that says nothing about anyone else.

Pete keep us up on how you like the P17, I've had mine a week now and for the $33 bucks it is a fantastic bargain. Did you do a minor tear down and check the air inlet hole for burrs & lube the piston with White Lithium Grease. I did and found no issues.

Cooldill, forget about the O rings, like Pete says you've got lots of shooting to do.

I will keep you posted. I have not done the tear down yet. I will soon.
Question: the link pin for the piston....in which direction does it drive out?

Awesome, so glad it is doing what you wanted it to do.

It's pretty liberating shooting whenever you want at a fraction of the cost........well unless you get the bug because just like firearms they tend to multiply. :D

Good shooting.

Nice groups! The "smalltrap" target sheets for these informal fun matches will fit in your Gamo target trap (note you need to be forum member to access the downloads). Post up an entry!

RWS Basic pellets have worked great in my Crosman 2300T. I've tried a few different pellets over the years, and find these hard to beat for quality and value. Your Daisy is a bit velocity challenged, so I'd stick with the lighter 7 gr pellets. Just about any 7gr wadcutter (flat head) pellet is your best friend for paper punching.
