Active Shooter Training: Lessons from...

And that could be anyone, including witnesses, victims, and first responders. Hopefully not, but it happens a lot.
Odd, I haven't seen it. As a matter of fact, I've never even heard of any pictures/video of someone detained inside a crime scene, making it out to the public.

All pictures I've seen have been outside the scene...as all the witnesses/victims of a shooting incident usually hurry outside unless they are detained by the responding officers

I've seen vids from inside and outside. If had any links I would post them, but a lot of them actually got pulled shortly after they went up. Most recent (and not exactly a good example) is the recent incident in Austin as SxSW. Police are asking people with video to give it to police and not post it on the 'net. Apparently lots of InstaGrams from that.

FWIW, there is no guarantee that an Active Shooter incident will take place inside a building. The Boston Marathon bombing had a lot of cellphone video all over the net. ISTR seeing some videos from Sandy Hook, and some purported to be from Columbine.

And no one really knows what or who has been recorded under what circumstances until it is seen and perhaps analyzed.

The police simply cannot trust someone with a gun saying they are a good guy.

If in the Amy Bishop case, she had killed everyone and walked out of the room how would they know she was the shooter. She was a professor at the school. If she ditched the gun or said that she picked it up when the BG fled - how can they verify this?

She could have gotten on the cell phone and said - OMG, everyone is dead. I have my carry gun - please help us!!

Forget the trivia and just try to survive. If you made it past the gunman or gunwoman, then do what it takes without ego to make it past the cops.

Yeah, they should take your call and give you a parade out of the building. Right.
