Advice for polymer coated bullets?

I have used several thousand of the Acme coated bullets in 9mm and .45acp and am completely pleased with the result in ease of use, accuracy, and durability. No problems in seating in 9 & 45 using a minimal flare, and I (almost) never see any shaved coating fragments. I use Lee dies, nothing special, and sizing and seating works just fine with HiTek coatings. My opinion is that they are way better than lubed cast lead, almost as durable as plated (and durable enough), and they are very clean to shoot. I have also used coated from MBC with similar results. Pricing is somewhat cheaper than plated, so my frugal nature likes that. One caveat: if you don't need the wooden boxes Acme ships them in, they accumulate quickly and you will have to find a way to dispose of them.;) Lucky for me another THR member took 16-20 boxes off my hands and paid the shipping! I was glad to send them away on his dime.

Welcome to THR.
There is online data at Hodgdonreloading.com for 231 and LCN. Look at the 125gr data, it’s close enough to 124gr and you can use the lead data. You will need to determine your maximum COL for your guns as well just to make sure your rounds can chamber. As a new loader you shouldn’t use a COL less than the published online data. Good luck!

Now that you mention it, I am seeing the wooden Acme boxes starting to pile up in the corner of my reloading room.:)
