Ask the PD if they can loan a vest to you for 30 days.
Make a record of any threats made against you (date, time, male/female, type of threat) and report them to the police. This will help establish a need for increased patrols or other protective measures.
Avoid traveling alone. Having another set of eyes paid off the first time, it's good insurance for the next few weeks.
Switch cars with someone off and on for the next few weeks and vary your schedule and routes of movement. The more people you trade cars with and the greater the variation in your schedule/routes the more difficult it is for the gang to find a pattern to exploit for an ambush.
