URGENT ALERT - YOUR ACTION REQUIRED

GUN GRABBERS PLAN BLOCKADE OF LAWFUL GUN RETAILER

THE 2ND AMENDMENT NEEDS YOU THERE, AT CHUCK'S, TO STOP THE GUN CONTROL BULLIES

Once again, Fr. Pfleger and his band of gun grabbers plans to descend on Chuck's Gun Shop in an effort to get the shop to close down. Their latest effort involves a planned blockade of the shop on June 6th during which "demonstrators" will prevent you from entering Chuck's to exercise your 2nd Amendment rights. Needless to say, this is not the kind of activity that you, as a law-abiding firearm owner, should tolerate.

WHAT YOU MUST DO TO PROTECT YOUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS

1. Everyone reading this alert should go to the following link and sign up. The link goes to a site operated by the gun grabbers. If you sign up on the form, it will send a clear message that we stand ready to protect our rights. The sign-up link is as follows:

https://docs.google.com/a/bradymail.../viewform?&source=BCAM-BAGD-CHICAGO-PROTEST-2

Fill the form out completely.

2. Plan to be at Chucks Gun Shop, 14310 S Indiana Ave, Riverdale, IL no later than 9:30 AM on Saturday June 6th, to prepare to protect Chuck's from the gun grabbers.

3. Be sure to wear IGOLD or NRA t-shirts, hats, etc.

4. If you see members of the media on site, actively approach them, identify yourself as a law-abiding firearm owner, and tell them you reject the lies about Chuck's spread by Pfleger and the gun control movement.

5. Post this alert to any and all Internet blogs, chat rooms, or social media to which you belong.

6. Pass this alert along to your gun owning friends and family members. Tell them to sign up with the gun grabbers and to attend the event to protect Chuck's.

It's very important that everyone who reads this alert turns out to help defend Chuck's. We cannot allow the gun grabbers to hijack our Constitution!

SEE YOU ON JUNE 6TH AT 9:00 AM!

REMEMBER - GUN CONTROL IS A DISEASE, YOU ARE THE CURE!

Has anyone contacted the Chancery Office of the Archdiocese of Chicago? Catholic priests shouldn't be getting into such mischief. It might also be worthwhile to contact the Catholic League -- no friend of Fr. Pfleger.

Call the police and have them arrested. Good first step. Learning is sometimes a painful process.

Picketing is one thing, an outright blockade is another. I'm sure there is some law over disrupting legal business that they can be forced to leave over, or be sued over.
Like everyone else, this type of 'leader' is best hurt in the pocketbook.

I suggest having people take video inside and outside of the store (even across the street) before, during and after - if possible. Upload the video to several YouTube accounts. The reason for this is that the video could be deleted due to complaints from the other side and you don't want all your eggs in one basket (one account) anyway.

Contact one of the hosts of a pro-gun podcast now. Ask them if they would be willing to devote some of their podcast time to the proposed barricade story. They might be willing to interview you by phone or by skype now or as soon as the 'event' is over.

Upload the pictures here and at other pro-gun sites after the 'event' is over. (Better yet while the event is going on). If possible, see if someone can do a audio or video live feed of the event.

Good Luck.

"Their latest effort involves a planned blockade of the shop on June 6th during which "demonstrators" will prevent you from entering Chuck's to exercise your 2nd Amendment rights"

Criminal trespass? Blockading at a distance is obstructing a public thoroughfare, which is a much more severe crime against the city itself (or state/fed depending on whose property is affected). If the cops themselves are in on this and refuse to arrest the perpetrators, escalate to the city or state attorneys general is in order, I guess, and Mrs. Lynch of the Justice Department as a civil rights issue (...on second thought, that entire chain of command is very hostile to RKBA in general, so an after-the-fact lawsuit seeking monetary damages from any/all involved in the crime or abetting it may be possible)

I would not suggest trying to "out blockade" these folks, let alone trying to break their feels-circle by force; no way that situation reflects well on us. Let them do their thing and break the law, then bring it to bear on them. Otherwise, a simple counter protest (preferably not at the gun store, as a "small group of die-hards encircled by massive mobs of grass-roots gun sense supports" as the headline will surely read).

Watch them fail to muster even a single-person-deep ring around the property

As stated - illegal everywhere I have lived.

^ This. They can be on the sidewalk exercising their First Amendment right. If the are blocking entrance or exit to an establishment, and/or engaging in harassment, however, they are in violation of the law and should be arrested.

More from IL Carry - looks like Chuck is offering free range time.

we are strident in our support of Chuck's and ask our members enjoy the use of the range at no cost. Simply identify yourself as a supporter of the Second Amendment, on the day of the protest.

Our goals our several. Enjoy the fellowship of like minded gun owners. Extend a welcoming hand across the waters to help those protesting our rights understand and respect our perspective.

Equally important, support Chuck's financially by making every protest against the store more profitable than the last.

Toward this end, please plan on purchasing ammunition, supplies, or that new trap gun you know you'll need sooner or later.

Would not their actions disqualify their tax-free religious status? Has anyone looked at this form that perspective?

They have no tax free religious status, and are not acting on behalf of or by direction of any church. Pflegar has long been an embarassment to the church.

Has anyone contacted the Chancery Office of the Archdiocese of Chicago? Catholic priests shouldn't be getting into such mischief. It might also be worthwhile to contact the Catholic League -- no friend of Fr. Pfleger.

This would be the best course of action. The church can't stop him from his personal politics, but they can limit his activities done while wearing the collar.

I don't think Father Pflager 'works' for the Roman Catholic church any more.

St. Sabina seems to be a 'free range' church.

Protest

If this is legitimate and not some kind of set up, I can only see bad publicity for us. You know the press will be there with their leftist bias. If I were to check it out, I wouldn't wear NRA gear, etc.

Counter Protest is being run by the Illinois State Rifle Association and IL Carry, it's real and these people know how to do this.

"...I wouldn't wear NRA gear, etc...."
The secret is out, they know about the NRA now.

St. Sabina seems to be a 'free range' church.

It's the "Catholic Church" (the Roman Rite accounts for only the Western Half of the Church) and St. Sabina's is most certainly owned by the Archdiocese of Chicago.

FWIW, the Pflager's bishop most certainly has the authority to control Pflager 24/7.

The current bishop of Chicago is as anti-gun as Pfleger from all accounts. He won't likely be reining him in anytime soon.

During one of their previous attempted blockades of Chuck's, Pfleger threatened to "snuff out" the lives of the owner, and any other gun shop owners.

Hence, he received the name "Snuffy" after that. Everybody noticed that the authorities said nothing about these death threats made by this guy, on TV.

Imagine that, in Chicago.

There could be a dozen Snuffy people there, and 1,000 ISRA members, and the media will talk about the huge anti-gun turnout.

These fools have targeted Chucks before. They do this publicity stunt occasionally. There are usually more hyperventilating media sycophants than there are protesters.

Deconstructing the Brady Campaign's "Bad Apple" drama

For a several years the ISRA has been urging its members to support Chuck's Gun Shop in Riverdale against accusations by Jesse Jackson Sr, Fr. Michael Pfleger, ICHV and the Brady Campaign.

Each time Chuck's is supported, a few members will write to the ISRA and question the strategy of defending this shop, they keep hearing about it, so doesn't that mean there must be something wrong?

Let's explore the Brady Campaign and their accusations against Chuck's.

1. The Brady Campaign has an ultimate mission to ban private ownership of firearms.
Their stated purpose and their names have changed several times over the years, but gun banners have one long term goal, and that's banning your firearms and seeing them confiscated and destroyed. Americans now know that they really do have a right to keep and bear arms, so Brady no longer outwardly talks about their complete ban. No matter what the new catchphrase is, whether it's "Gun Violence Prevention" or "Gun Safety Advocacy", Brady has a smoke screen of lies to hide their real agenda. This year, the latest theme they have cooked up is "Bad Apple Dealers."

2.. The Brady Campaign says they have a new "Code of Conduct" for firearms retailers to sign and comply with its terms as part of its latest program.

It's not a set of best practices in firearms retail sales, it's a blueprint for harassing lawful retailers and obstructing their operations. If dealers try to adopt the practices in this "Code of Conduct," they would go out of business, exactly what Brady wants!

3. If they can force Chuck's to close, they will have a strategy to use on some other popular gun shop.
Rather than a "Bad Apple", the Brady Campaign sees low-hanging fruit, and a starting point. From there more gun dealers would be targeted, in an ever widening net. All successful gun shops would eventually be targeted.

4. The Brady Campaign has statistics they use that talk about "crime guns" linked to Chuck's and other suburban retailers.
a. What's the "crime gun" the Brady's talk about? It is a firearm recovered at a crime scene or during a criminal investigation. It might not have been used to threaten, injure or kill anyone. It might have been illegally possessed or might be stolen property. If it was linked to an Illinois firearm retailer, including Chuck's, the original purchaser possessed an Illinois Firearm Owner's ID, and passed a recent background check.

b. The guns recovered in Chicago all come from outside of Chicago. There are no firearms retailers in Chicago, not for decades.

c. Brady likes to say that "20% of the crime guns recovered in Chicago between 2009 and 2013 were originally sold by just four local gun dealers." As there is no place in Chicago to buy firearms, Chicago residents tend to shop at the few nearby suburban dealers.

d. Brady also says that "more than 85% of gun dealers sell no guns used in crime." These are the small dealers vilified by the Brady Campaign in past decades as "kitchen table" gun dealers and once used by Brady in a ploy for phony outrage that the USA had more gun dealers than gas stations. Now Brady holds these same dealers in high regard, precisely because they don't sell very many firearms, and are not thriving businesses.

5. Brady says "Chuck’s was Brady’s first stop on a national campaign to Stop Bad Apple Gun Dealers because of its egregious record of supplying guns used in violent crime."

Chuck's is located near some of the worst neighborhoods in the USA, home to good people that live with the threat of constant gang violence, people that have a protected right to be able to own firearms and defend themselves. Chuck's has never been found in substantial non-compliance by the ATF, FBI or Illinois State Police. Firearms retailers have no crystal ball or other way to determine the future disposition of firearms legally transferred today.

During one of their previous attempted blockades of Chuck's, Pfleger threatened to "snuff out" the lives of the owner, and any other gun shop owners.
Then someone needs to get those threats on audio and video. I believe that threatening someone's life is a Felony in some jurisdictions. Get everything on record, gather witnesses and then press charges.
