We're in Tulsa!

Just talked to Steve. I got a "preview" of the show courtesy of my brother, who has a table. I may have found the 28 ga to fit my needs. Subject to Steve's approval tomorrow morning of course.

We will open the doors tomorrow at eight. I'll be the short skinny guy with the military haircut and grey moustache walking around with the tall lanky fellow. See you all there!

...you think anyone would believe me if I said I made this trip via Omaha...

I'll be in a puke green Rambler driving 55 Mr Officer -Sir. ;)

Detective Special Stocks!! :D :D Oh Goody, Thank You Kind Sir.

I gotta find a Old Colt Mag release for a 1911...something else, forget, wrote down and in the tru..err..Rambler.

Don't I get a free 28 ga after so many folks end up with one because of me...ought to. :p

I betcha if I found a old colt Trigger Old Fuff would make sure my Reprobate Certificate got mailed. :D

I can see that I should have sent you a shopping list.

Do me a small favor. If you see a like-new S&W 1905 Hand Ejector/Military & Police model going for say .... $25.00 :what: Please pick it up for me, if the seller will throw in an S.D. Myers holster to fit it. :scrutiny:

Thanks ... :D

Old Fuff

Boy I wish...wouldn't that be something?

How about I just swap the fellow 3 sets of my Custom Glock Grip Screw sets that go for $19.95 each ...and includes the "special tool" ...for that S&W 1905 Hand Ejector/Military & Police?

I mean he would be getting the better deal - right?

He would be getting a super deal ... :uhoh:

Tell ya' what I'll do ... You get that like-new 1905 S&W Hand Ejector for $25.00 and I'll swap you a pair of slightly used genuine 1928 walnut Detective Special stocks - even up.

Such a deal ...   :D

And folks just thought you and Tuner would make a pair doing a traveling road show...Like I've said before, I learn from my elders and mentors, always have, no reason to stop now. Yep, been paying attention to ya. :)

Have fun at the show, but don't spend all of our money ... :uhoh:

I hate to bring this up, but S&W never made a 28 guage ... :scrutiny: :D

Yep, not recommended to insert a 28 ga shell in that S&W 1000 , it would fit by golly, and that is where folks get seriously injured, maimed or dead.

Neat gun - shot great, it was NOT a Winchester SX1, and the stamped out 1100 by Rem took the market by storm. Folks bought those instead the Machined SX1 . Well some of us folks stayed with the old school and machined parts and craftsmanship guns for quite a bit longer...*grin*

I always wished the SX1 had been made in 20 and 28 ga...would have been a great classic then - and now.

Sure wish I could make it up there, but I'm working this weekend. Just as well, I ain't got 2 nickles to rub together anyhow. Slim pickin's around the Monroe household lately.

Hey, we made it home. 1280 miles round trip, counting the impromptu tour I gave Steve of east Tulsa. We both know now that 41st St. does indeed end at the Arkanas River if you go far enough the wrong way.

We hung around the southeast snack bar for a while and then went up to the upper south one. Couldn't find anybody looking around for anybody else. So we went on a "mission" to find me a 28 ga shotgun.

Succeeded too... ;)

I'll post something in shotguns if Steve hasn't already done so.

Reprobate : Have talents will travel
:D

I had a great time, enjoyed meeting Larry , Sandy , his brother, brother's associate whom shared a booth. I met a LOT of really great folks, genuine people.

Yes we checked the concession areas, while there, and throughout when I "thought" someone might be a THR'er...I'd drop in conversation stuff like, " yeah taking the high road", "hey that banner over that booth says Firing Line", "I don't see a booth giving training for mutant zombie bears or puma's" :p

That ain't the Arkansas I'm familar with...they have l-o-n-g bridges , Locks & Dams, even Hydroelectric for one area near me.

We wuz pulling a CRSam : checking out Alternate Routes ;)

Arrived back, literally 48hrs had elasped since I last slept.

I will go back...oh yeah. :)

I got there around 9:30 and gave Larry's phone a call. Tried calling until about 11:30.

Oh well better luck next time.

Yup a lonley lost THRer whose friends stood him up because they were too lazy to get outta bed :cuss:
