Just a quick first review from the field today.
After stripping the gun apart, cleaning with G96 and lubricating the 8 points listed in the owner's manual I put it back together and changed out the medium backstrap for the small one. At home I load all four magazines 15 rounds apeice and let them set for a couple of days like that. I left the gun open and locked back for the same amount of time
I shot 65 round total of 50 CCI Blazer 180 gr., 10 Underwood 200 gr. and 5 Underwood 220 gr from 15 yards away. This was my best group.
But the majority of everything I shot was consistently in a nice group two inches BELOW this one!!! My strong hand placement on the handle is fine, but my weak hand placement (both thumbs forward) acted like it's standing in the unemployment line so I will work on that solid grip at home (I don't have big hands in the first place) and I need to get use to the tall sights or replace them. They seem weird to me.
Two magazines ran perfectly. But the other two magazines drop out twice consecutively. One mag with the Blazer ammo fell on both the 5th and the 6th shot. Then the other mag did the same thing twice on the 7th and then the 8th round using Underwood 200 gr.
I had one failure to feed, but in that case I only loaded five 220 gr Underwood into the magazine and it happened right in between the second to the last round and the last round. Cleared the jam, loaded the FTF cartridge back into the mag and both final rounds cycled perfectly.
So it's a work in progress. I will admit that I do LIKE this gun. Like a lot of new guns its just some kinks to work out. Plus now I can start reloading for it with the spent Blazer brass.
