I'll add my thanks as well. I consider myself a pretty solid loader of handgun cartridges. I have read numerous reloading manuals cover to cover. I have spoken at length to people who have been making and shooting ammo at very high levels. And, yet, particularly when it comes to the high-precision rifle side of loading, I constantly learn new things here. One day, when I am too old and crippled to play the "fast" shooting games, I'll take up benchrest and put it all to use. :p

Hearty "Amen" from me! I try to make the occasional contribution, but I have taken away from THR far more knowledge than I can ever hope to repay. Figured becoming a contributing member was one way to say thanks.

I wil add to this. Actually, I believe that this is my first post. I got into hand loading about two years ago as the result of purchasing a 25-06 AI from a friend. I found this site and have been lurking here since then. This site is a wealth of information. I am certainly not experienced, but now load for many other rifle calibers. I have yet to search this site and fail to find an answer to any question I may have. I thank those of you who post here for your time and willingness to share your thoughts and experience.

Here's a long belated welcome to THR! :D

Huge +1. Almost finished with my first pound of HS-6. I have had and I am sure will continue to have a lot of questions, which have been graciously answered. Now If I can talk my LGS into ordering more powder.

Demi-human, what I was trying to say, in my typical clumsy way, is that there are some who have loaded up a couple 100 rounds of ammo and they worked so they think that they are experts and able to teach advanced concepts to others. I was also trying to say, again, clumsy of me, those experts do not last very long on forums like this if they even are aware that they exist. I'm a bit surprised that I offended some here as that wasn't my intention at all.

I personally don't offer much in the way of instruction as I'm not a true expert, far from it. I can put together ammo that functions well in my handguns and rifles. But folks like you Demi-human are, as I see it, determined to learn and understand the skills needed to handload great ammo and appreciate the fact that others are willing to assist. This is a complement. If I were to offer some advice it would be to collect as much resources as possible, books and other publications that have withstood the test of time, the classics. Keeping in mind that there is more than one way to skin a cat and there are numerous ways to spend your money.

And I apologize if what I took what you said incorrectly. As it appears I did.

I got my reloading start here back in October of 2015, loaded my first rounds in November. I can't even begin to express my gratitude for the help I have received. I am far from an expert but I am learning everyday thanks to the good folks here. THR is the very best website out there.
I had a reply to one of my first posts from a local guy here close to me offering to get together to help me along. We have since become good buddies and shoot IDPA together.
I ask some rather odd questions sometimes, I am not always so good at putting my thoughts and feelings into coherent well thought out strings and things sometimes come out all convoluted, but I always get the same patient, helpful responses. This place is great.
I am closing in on the 8,000 round mark and I come here several times a day and almost always learn something new or see a new perspective on something I have been working on.
Thank you to all of you.

Yeah great site. Lots of valuable information although sometimes you have to dig for it. I've learned to appreciate our esteemed moderator and others who demand accurate explanations for professed views also.
