Are you doing anything gun related on Christmas day?

Is anyone planning on going shooting on Christmas day? Teaching a CCW class? I realize that ranges will be closed but many of us can take a 40 minute drive and find shooting land.

I'm asking because there may be posters here who are Jewish, so I'm wondering if they have any gun related plans for the 25th.

The whole "day with relatives" thing can get tiresome so do you have something gun related planned to "take the edge off" Christmas?

Going snowboarding Christmas Morning (tradition) - after that, not sure. Depends on how sore/tired I am after snowboarding - and whether or not I feel like driving to the range, or drinking beer instead.

Hopefully I'll get to drop a coyote or prairie dog.
Christmas weekend should definitely be filled with range time at my Pop's farm. Gotta practice the double taps after all.

Will take off Christmas Day as I am retired and now live in rural south La. I will not quail hunt-duck hunt- woodcock hunt-deer hunt-rabbit hunt-etc. rather I will spend quaility time with friends and family.LOOK OUT the day after!

Hope to take my limit of Partridges (1) Turtle doves (2), French Hens (3), Calling Birds (4), Geese (6) and Swans (7).

Going to shoot a Dragons Breath to excite the neighbors. Dragons Breath is a flame thrower shotgun shell that shoots out a flame +/- 100 feet. It will be fired over the Florida Intercoastal Waterway. Will it draw a crowd plus police? Yes.

Well I took my son shooting today.
He has his own 10/22CRR. We set up targets and plink away. Time to go fire up the BBQ and clean some guns after dinner. We probably won't be able to shoot again until next week.

I'll be mounting my new 3-9x scope I ordered from Cabela's, on my Marlin 22 magnum.:D Plus, I'll be loading up some 38 spl and 40 S&W rounds, ordered some bullets too.:D

I'll probably be in all day, but just for you guys I'll sit down and watch Enemy at the Gates, True Grit, and one of the Die Hard movies.

LMAO...
Hmm, Dad always tries to shoot down Santa with a 12 gauge. Does that count?

Reminds me of the ole coot who used to get taken down to the hoosegow every month or so for popping off a few shots on mainstreet. I guess in 15th century Europe they had a name for him: "Village Idiot." ... we just called him drunk Ronnie in my town.

does ccw count?

Darn tootin'

Otherwise driving NASCAR can't be called drivin related.

We're going to Mom's Xmas day. I'm going to try to get a shot at a coyote that's been hanging around her hen house. I'll be carrying my old two-tone Ruger 77 Varmint in .223. I've got a load that gives me sub .5" groups at 100 yards. (R-P brass, 50gr Hornady SP bullet, 23.5 gr AA-2460, CCI SR mag primer) Wish me luck.:D
