Best gun to have when ammo runs out..................a little humor

Long gun: just about anything will work as a club, the real question is how many peices will I be holding after the first time I belt the guy? In terms of all out smashing ability, I've got a .54 lyman plains rifle with a nice curved steel buttplate, and about 7lbs of octagon barrel. It wouldn't be my first choice for a shootin fight but it would do mighty well at busticatin heads :)

Sidearm: Magnum research BFR 45/70. They had one of these in the counter at the store and it actually looked BIGGER than a redhawk in .454  I think I'd rather use either one as a hammer than actually have to shoot it ;)

I don't know how anyone could be left alive after I ran out of 12 guage ammo for my 870 with a 24 inch barrel, but if so, then that's what I'll use.

Make sure its really empty before you swing it by the barrel coonan, don't want to take a chance on shooting yourself with it ;)

I guess it depends...

If I'm out and about, then I'd be kinda limited to something I could conceal (if we ever get the silly law fixed here in WI). Now, I were in my room fighting off the BGs, then we get to go rodeo: Automag on one wall, 30 Broomhandle Bolo on another, tomahawk, 4 katanas, two short swords, a rapier and a Zulu Assegai (all displayed). Don't think I'm gonna have to hit someone with a carry piece in that environment... ;)

well i want one of those howitzers so when i run out of ammo i can just pick it up and swing it around like a really big bat.

Mosin-Nagant M-44 carbine. Has flip-out bayonet, and a steel buttplate. Quite nasty from either end.:neener:

Wood stock Mini-14. Fat chance of running all mags dry to begin with. Short, thin stainless steel barrel not something I'd want to be poked with, even without bayonet. Stock end is rather heavy and has steel butt plate. With all the dings on it already from being rode hard and put up wet, what's a couple more?

M1 Garand with bayonet - crush your skull or gut you - your choice

If it had to be a pistol, then the Walker Colt, weighs almost as much as some rifles.

Desert Eagle HandCannon...

you see, the ejection port is large, and it has a rotation-bolt lockup...

I shoot it until it locks the slide back... then as the BG rushes at me, I slam it into his crotch, (ejection port first) and slam the slide release...

then, since ALL the fight is now outta him, I inform him that I'll need the gun back, and proceed to "unrack" his "package" from the weapon... (I'll wager that the rotating bolt hurts BAD!)

I think we can all agree it would NOT be an AR.

The AR has many virtues, but smashing things is not one of them.

I got a Kentucky .32 squirrel rifle. With 44 inch long octagon barrel, it has got to weigh 20 pounds.Only good for one shot then, you could drop it and crush the BG's feet!

M1 Garand with a 16" Bayonet. Metal buttplate and 16" of cold, pointy steel out front.

Of course, if I could, I would jump in my car and run them all over.

Even better, I could get a Springfield Armory 1911 and saw them to death with the slide serrations:D
