Black Friday: What did you get?

Bushnell TRS-33 for my AR ($79.99), and a Frankford Arsenal wet tumbler ($149.99). I ordered and now I have to wait. Hey, young kiddos and they'll want to see me unwrap stuff. Plus, delayed gratification is a practice we don't do much anymore as a society...so it's good to do.

I'm very much a shopper, but to my surprise I didn't buy anything today except some sesame chicken and potstickers from a local Chinese place for lunch.

I've just bought a lot of crap for myself in my first few months with a job out of college. Since September 15, I've bought a Sig P6, Sig SP2022, Beretta 92S, Beretta 8040G Cougar, and I have my S&W 642 on layaway. Plus some new clothes, new games, etc. Plus I just spent a TON on everyone's Christmas shopping.

So...for today, despite seeing some great deals, I decided I didn't need anymore things.

Glad some of you grabbed awesome deals!

Ordered some 30 round magazines and Independence XM193I from Palmetto State Armory. Four magazines and 100 rounds of ammo for $61 shipped. Not bad at all, IMO.

A2 style flash hider for $7.99, nothing else. Looking at a barrel swap on my current AR from the target bull barrel to a M4 profile.
But, most funds are going to fix the transmission, so it's going to be a light Christmas for all of us.

You won't catch me anywhere near a retail store between last week and sometime after the middle of Jan. when the Xmas exchanges are over..

Unless I run out of toilet paper or food.

No way, no day could I save enough money to deal with it!

Kids will get gift cards from the grocery store, as prices will be lower after Xmas!
And they can buy something they really want or need, instead of tasteless junk on sale now.

Rc

Holster for my lh9n...and a couple of mags online and a gun cabinet online. Spent rest of the day relaxing at home and finishing up some projects.

Nothing else....gun related or not gun related. No bargain is worth seeing the display of the worst of humanity in person.

What rcmodel said.

I went to a Black Friday sale at Sears in 1997.
Never again.
Even at 6:00 AM, the tool section was a picked-over madhouse.

Not interested in watching people misbehave.

Does anyone know if Top Gun Supply is going free shipping this weekend like they did last year? The only thing I saw was that they were opening early on Friday.

Edit--Found it. Cyber Monday free shipping code = cybermonday14

Recieved a 16" Mid-length 5.56 NATO 1/7 upper with BCG, charging handle and LPK.
Bought a mixed lot of used scopes, reflex sights, rings, and mounts on Ebay.
Tried to clear the kitchen sink drain. Unsuccessfully. :banghead:
Luckily, it's a four-day weekend.

First time I can even remember that I’ve ventured out of the house on a Black Friday but, forget shopping, I couldn’t pass on a $5 all day range fee. So the Model 66-1 commemorative that I bought last Saturday got some exercise.

It’s not an unfired 33 year old virgin any more. And here’s my before and after proof.

For my Glocks, a happy stick (33rnd mag) and 4.5lb connectors from Glockmeister

I got one of the stag arm 1h uppers for $395. Now I can complete the lower I started last summer.

What did I get?
Extra sleep, and the ability to not get out and about among frenzied shoppers. For which I'm entirely thankful.

Now, I might drive over tomorrow to the Market Hall GS and see if anything catches my eye over there.

I didn't get a thing.

Last weekend, I bought three new laptops for the kids in preparation for Christmas this year. That tapped me out and I haven't even gotten around to the software, anti-virus software, and anti-spyware yet. I'm able to get some good deals on these, but still...times three is another chunk of change.

Maybe after Christmas has come and gone I'll be able to buy something gun related again.

Thursday online I picked up four mags and two bricks of CCI 22.

Friday evening I picked up a P320 Carry at a LGS.

I hear that! About five years ago, I did it three times in four months. I finally got it done properly by removing the "J" trap, using a 50' steel ribbon snake and a whole lot of pushin' and pullin'. And with my arthritis, crawling around on the kitchen floor was literally a royal PITA.

After that last time, we set a new rule: NO oils or greases down the kitchen drain except for that slight film on pots and pans dish soap easily emulsifies, only small things through the disposal and every run of the disposal to be followed by sufficient water to move the small slurry along.

So far so good.

Speaking of drains...the sewer line between the house and the street clogged up. Luckily, it was in the portion between the cleanout plug in the yard and the street. Took just a few minutes with a steel ribbon snake and it was done.

Not what I had in mind Wednesday before Thanksgiving with all my other chores, but hey...you do what you gotta!

Barbecue, surprise birthday party for my sister, hanging out with family and friends.

Yep. Scored a awesome deal and saved a ton of money.

Best Black Friday ever.

NO shopping Black Friday

This Black Friday I slept in, got some autumn yardwork done and got the snow blower running, and got my beehives ready for winter, then I loaded up some 9mm and .45acp which I shot today. All in all, a perfect day.
