Lets here it,
Black Rifle Poodle Shooter AR Format?
OR,
Commie Pinko Lead Waster AK format?:p

And why do you back one or the other? The devil is always in the details...

I guess we can hear from the Only Dropped Once, Stamped Sheet Metal Euro Trash shooters too if they want to chime in....:neener:

Lets take into consideration some things like,
1. Reliability.
None of those clones that fire the barrel down range or have receiver explosions.

2. Accuracy.
If it's going to work, it should hit something...

3. Availability of rifle and parts.
Some of the more popular combat rifles are no longer easily available.

4. Cost.
Some former favorites are just plain costly now!

5. Accessories, magazines, optics, ect.
Rifle isn't any good without mags, cleaning tools, spare parts, ect.

6. Ammunition availability & cost.
No such thing as 'Cheap' ammo anymore, unless you want to take your chances with ammo that has been ruining guns...
So what where are the best deals, and what quality is the ammo...?

7. Aftermarket Parts Availability.
Rifles are so much more effective if outfitted correctly for the application at hand, and the aftermarket is a good place to find what you need...
Post up some links & pics so the rest of us can see what you are talking about....

AK-47 vs AR-15 ? This hasn't ever been discussed so I'm glad it's been brought up. I think they're both great rifles for the money though.

I'll take AK format any day of the week. Even though the AR is more accurate and light my main reason for choosing it is that you can drop it in mud, sand, dirt, ect and it will still work without having to be cleaned(I know there are AR's that can do that but they are over 1000.00 and government only to my knowledge). And it is not picky over ammo. I have seen lots of parts and accessories for it as well. You cant beat the price either at about 400.00 for a WASR.

My answer is...a Bulgarian Arsenal AK in 7.62x39. It's a well-built rifle that is way more accurate than a $350 Century hack-job,and using junk Commie ammo it's still dead reliable with more than combat accuracy .

so...

new guy's trying to start trouble, eh?:neener:

they both have their place IMO. the AK's is between me and the BG, the AR's is holding papers down on my desk:D

The answer, of course, is "870". :D

Wait, I screwed up! It's "1911". :banghead:
