I bought a used "custom" AT-84s a year or two ago. Supposedly built by Jim Boland, its a very nice gun.

Recently its adjustable BOMAR sight began losing its "set" during recoil. The detent on the up/down adjustment was worn out. This was a custom mounting of the Bomar sight, and not just any sight would work -- so replacement wasn't really a possibility.

I contacted Bomar and asked about getting it fixed. They said, "send it in and we'll fix it as cheaply as we can." I did.

Got it back about a week later. Fixed. With an apology: they said they were sorry they couldn't warranty the repair, due to customer-made adjustments. (The adjustments must'v happened before I bought it. But believe me, that wasn't a problem -- I was just very happy to have a repaired sight...)

They could've charged me. But, instead, they fixed it for nothing, apologized for not doing more, and sent it back, paying the postage themselves.

I'll keep this all in mind when I next need a quality sight -- you might want to, as well.

BOMAR is a class act. My thanks to them.
