Need some advice...I'm trying to decide between two rifles - having shot .22LR for a long time (have a great CZ .22) and moving into centerfire. Will be 95% target rifle on a short 150-200 yard range. These all shoulder well but I do not have a chance to fire similar before purchase.
In one corner - a CZ 527 in .223 with a decent scope. Called used but less than 10 rounds fired in total. Sold from reputable dealer. $600 for whole package.
In the other corner - a Browning X-Bolt. NIB. I have choices of .243 or .308, etc.... No glass. Ballpark $800'ish.
Lurking in background - a Browning BLR in .243 or .308 are available NIB. Ballpark $850-900. I know not best for target. But appealing.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Am I totally off base for wanting a lever for target shooting?
