Grip angle is one obvious distinction between them, with Ruger offering 2 versions (Lugeresque and 1911).
My BuckMark was very accurate with a nice trigger as delivered, even more so now with a Tandemkross trigger & Gearbox. Quirks: feeding due to a sharp chamber entry which can be rounded slightly.
I’m hunting high and low for a Mark IV at present with little success finding one I want. I do have an upper, just waiting.
My Neos is on par with the Browning for accuracy but with a terribly heavy stock trigger and no aftermarket support. Too bad really, it has great potential.
I think any would be a solid choice but I think the Ruger checks more boxes for more people than the others, with reliability being a hallmark. With respect to those who love the previous generations, I would bypass all for the IV, especially for a first timer.
