Buffer for 300 Blackout Upper?

Looking for some info. I just added a 16" 300 Blackout upper to the stable, placed on a Stag lower. Do I need to change the standard carbine buffer for 300 BO? Does it make a difference (regarding the buffer) if I shoot supersonic or subsonic 300 BO? Thanks.

I didn't and mine worked just fine. Carbine buffer and not A2 style.

Ive got several AR's in the caliber. The buffer doesnt really matter if its overgassed like most are.

I had to have a different buffer in mine but then the only thing I shoot in it are subsonic loads.

AAC recommends H2 for theirs. Your gas system may vary.

I remove the .223 upper and install the 300, no changes.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I watch how it cycles, and perhaps have a lighter buffer ready for the subsonic if it sputters.

I have a JP low mass buffer in one of my 3gun rifles but never needed to use it in my 300.
