I did this some years ago with 2 CVA Kentucky rifles. Both had the woodwork damaged in a fire. I redid one 18 years ago and the second one this year. On the first one I couldn't find the foremost stock piece anywhere so I used a piece of a branch from a Maple tree I had removed some years earlier (a little woodworking and it looks like it belongs there). If I can figure out how to attach a photo, I'll put one here. The one with the butt stock extension is the one I just finished. I built the extension since the butt to trigger distance on the stock rifle are a bit short for me.
Bill, hope you are going to continue showing videos of this build. I have found it very interesting. I have built 2 rifles from semi-pre-carved stocks but never from a plank. Anxious to see the whole process. Thanks.
