the punch more than the gun am sure .
I think I would have sacraficed the wedge with a cold steel punch before I was willin to risk scratchin the gun , just sayin

No damage done fellas. The only thang you'd notice is a slight brass discoloration on only the wedge where some brass rubbed off the punch and onto the wedge.

Ask me again after I take a dremel tool to it...hehehehe.
