Thats fine but does your expertise know anything about the ammo they IMPORT?
That's like asking where the air you're currently breathing has been . .

CIA imports ammo from hundreds of countries around the globe, from many eras.

Can you be more specific as to what type or caliber of ammo you're interested in?

Doesn't look like it's from hundreds of countries to me, looks like they pinpoint it down to southern Africa. Looks like just a few selections too.

Reading is a wonderful thing isn't it?

So's writing.

The link wasn't present when this thread started (that's why it says 'Edited by glockky')

So do you just want to squabble about trying to justify your original smart elic arm chair quarterbacking comment or do you now not know as much about the original reason for this thread as you thought you did?

The OP went back and edited his post, thereby making my "original smart elic arm chair quarterbacking comment" seem an invalid response.

Where's your logic?

So I take it your choosing the " squabble" option and still not offering a sign of information about the ammo.

I had the opportunity to meet a sales rep for Century Arms recently. He was a stereotypical salesman, but seemed to know a lot about arms and military surplus.

The honest answer to your question is they import and sell what they can import and sell, just like a typical profit-driven business. The best you can do here is buy some, try it, and be prepared for any outcome, always remembering that you get what you pay for, and penny pinchers usually get pinched. Good luck.

Shipping rates are set by the carrier, not the retailer. Century uses UPS.
Those PMP prices are dealer prices. They require a copy of your FFL or C&R license or they won't sell it to you. There's no PMP ammo in their consumer catalogue either.
Oh and the South Africans make good ammo.
"...smart elic...Just wandered..." Smart what? Wandered where?

Here's the shipping info: http://www.centuryarms.biz/shipping.asp

It's a couple of flat rates depending on the total cost of your order (there is a small order fee). I haven't ordered any ammo from them before but I have been considering a case of the Yugo 8mm (haven't decided yet). I think you'll have better luck finding out about the reliability of the ammo by looking up info on the ammo itself (as century just imports it). There's a wealth of info online available about most surplus ammo types (what to avoid and what works well with which rifles). For instance, my yugo 24/47 likes Romanian and Yugoslavian 8mm (though some years are better than others) but the turkish shoots a lot higher.

Hey! LOL! My post was C&Ped.

Edited to say I wandered, er, wondered about that ammo too.
